Guest guest
Wow, I guess I have a LOT to learn, this is not what I've been told in the past. But then, I have been told that I am allergic to molds, so maybe that's why I get sicker when I eat anything with yeast in it ? I was told not to eat any yeast or anything that had been " aged " , such as beer, wine, cheese, salami, etc. And so I read every single label in the grocery store, and buy nothing that has yeast on the label. That's probably why I spend such a long time getting my shopping done.... What is the scoop on high fructose corn syrup ? If I eat anything with it, I spend weeks so weak that I can barely get through the day ? And finally, can someone PLEASE direct me to where I can go in the files to find a place to start trying to get this back under control ??? Thanks in advance. Guest guest
Well not all yeast is created equal. Florastor is indeed a type of yeast, but one that has shown to have many positive effects. Supposedly even anticandidal effects, but I don't know what about. It has been to shown to be helpful for other bowel issues though. Wil actually sells lateroflora, and while he did not originally introduced me to it (I had used it a few times in the past) his reintroduction brought me to start using it again. You can get it for pretty cheap at flora-balance.com greg > >> > >> Good afternoon, > >> Does anyone know about this product: Florastor http://florastor.ca/ ? >
Guest guest
Yeah, potatoes are really starchy/high in carbs/sugar. NOT recommended on a candida diet! :>) PS I went to Dr Atkin's website and checked out his carb counter. So I could tell even the high carb veges from the low (safe for us on candida diet) ones.. Obviously grains are no-no's too. Guest guest
I'm not sure what " hype " about the refrigerator you are referring to, but unless a probiotic product is specifically formulated not to require it, the product will require refrigeration or it will lose potency. The pearl-type products are formulated not to require refrigeration. Regular capsules or powder are not. I prefer the less expensive choices in my supplements and therefore continue to choose the capsules and powder, but for travel the pearls are great. Aly, you can take any type of probiotic that you wish with LDN and don't worry about that aspect. I'm not sure why the probiotics would be causing constipation, but they do cure diarrhea. Are you getting enough pure water and fiber? You might want to try adding those things. -- >i recommend probiotic pearls by phytopharmica- dont beleive all the hype >about the refrigerator -its a myth >this stuff works great- i had samples and gave them to a friend for her >daughter who was being treated with heavy doses of doxy and she did great. >i've had friends with all kinds of belly issues who's issues went away >with one a day. >also a big fan of aloe for a few weeks just to get the gut on the road to >healing >cyndi >On Apr 1, 2011, at 7:53 AM, aly ashour wrote: > >> >>Hi All, >> >>I had MS 8 years ago and I want to know if someone has tried any good >>brand of Probiotic, I made my search and tried Now 3 Billion but it made >>me constipated, though I appreciate any advice of any good brand that I >>can take with LDN >> >>Thanks and Best regards >>Aly Ashour ~~~ There is no way to peace; peace is the way ~~~~ --A.J. Guest guest
Dan, It's so confusing~I read every label on food before I buy anything, and I've been so careful not to get anything with any form of yeast. Nearly all canned soup has yeast in it~urgh... I noticed that there were several different kinds of probiotics at Walmarts, but this one had only 1 box left on the shelf. So I thought it must work. How can we know which kinds of yeast are good and which kinds aren't ? Thanks. Guest guest
Let me clarify something because I don't want anybody to be confused here. The alcohol topic is something I have discussed with many people in candida forums for years. I have been across this topic many times and have medical literature that confirms pure alcohol is not a growth factor for candida species. ( I am not talking about beers, wines, and any other fermented beverages that may contain sugar, carbohydrates, and yeast) Alcohol is a metabolic by-product of candida, and " in vitro " experiments have shown candida can not use it as a growing factor. In fact, several alcohols inhibit the fungal cell growth and stop the transition from yeast to fungus. You will find many non-scientific websites talking about candida that stay alcohol feeds the fungus but it is a myth. If you read microbiology materials such as those from Dr. Marjorie Crandall, you will find a section where she confirms this myth. There are medical abstracts and studies that confirm it. I ended reading one of them before to write it. . > > > >> > > > >> Good afternoon, > > > >> Does anyone know about this product: Florastor http://florastor.ca/ ? > > > > > > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------ > > > >
Guest guest
Well it's best to avoid anything that has or you think it might have sugar, this is the number one rule in order to beat candida, plus to get cured takes time so you have to be strict keep at it. <dieguez.jorge@...> wrote: >Let me clarify something because I don't want anybody to be confused here. Guest guest
I've been sticking to a very low carb diet, just came off of the use of Colosan for three days and used MMS a couple of weeks ago but couldn't get beyond 5 drops + 25 drops of citric acid without feeling very nauseated, even when I spaced it out five times a day. I just took two Florastor, morning and evening yesterday, and felt better than I have for years. Hope it continues to work. If I feel well enough to be active, I'll be on my way! Guest guest
Alcohol by nature is full of sugar. Also, some alcoholic beverages such as beer contain brewer's yeast which is not good for you if you have candida and issues with yeast overgrowth. Alcohol is sugars that are fermented. Guest guest
Darlene, He is correct. Alcohol is sugars that are fermented whether it's grapes fermented to make wine, grains, etc......This has been known throughout the ages. Distilled products such as vinegar are also fermented and have an effect yeast overgrowth conditions. Guest guest
Louise, Alcohol is toxic, and there isn't reason to take it during an anticandida program, specially because you will add load to the liver. But, some people still need a social life time to time and get the compromise of drinking something. Again, Alcohol (ethanol) is a by product of the yeast fermentation and isn't used by the yeast as a growing medium. In fact, pure alcohol kills fungus. Of course, beers, wine, and most liquors will feed it because the amount of sugar and carbohydrates they have. I posted it to let people know there isn't reason to panick if they need to drink a Vodka shot. . > > >> > > >> > > >> > > >> Good afternoon, > > >> > > >> Does anyone know about this product: Florastor http://florastor.ca/ ? > > >> > > > > >> > > > >> > > > >> > > > >> > > > >> > ------------------------------------ > > >> > > > >> >
