Guest guest
CS, only a guess for your delimena, MD's here in the us, always prescribe maalox for too much acid and also too little acid, so it must help both situations. Betaine HCL and digestive enzymes are sold world wide. Most pharmacist here in the states have a zipped lip, but in all other countries, they are very helpful, short of seeing an MD> You need to get on your pony and get something done. stay vertical, david lubbock tx. [low dose naltrexone] Small intestine flareup, Maalox vs. Betaine HCI. I am having a small intestine flare-up. Inflammation, distention. My dilemma is that, in the past, Maalox has helped with this problem, but confused by the fact that I also need Betaine HCI. I am not yet started LDN due to fact that I am not in the states right now. My doctor put me on anti-inflammatory, Pentasa. It has only been two days and I have had very little, temporary relief. My small intestine is so swollen that I cannot eat. I only take Maalox when absolutely necessary.
Guest guest
I get these flare ups too. I have to completely eliminate sugars of any sort for at least a week---usually that tames it after 3-4 days. For me, it's a mild fructose/fructans intolerance----so, can't eat fruit, honey, onions, garlic (those have the fructans), and of the sugars that end in " OL " like xylitol, sorbitol, mannitol, etc. ESPECIALLY important to avoid any of the artificial sugars like aspartame or nutrasweet. I have quite a sweet tooth, and so I substitute Stevia (liquid or granular, powdered---NOT Truvia) for tea and to sprinkle on crackers over greek yoghurt. Got to have something that tastes sweet or the cravings are pretty fierce in the beginning. Calli > > I am having a small intestine flare-up. Inflammation, distention.
