Guest guest
Here is a link to the February issue of Public Health Alert on the cover is an article about Dr. and the appeal. The Lyme Awareness Art Projects " Faces of Lyme " show is also featured on the cover. http://www.publichealthalert.org/FEB-page-1.html I also had an appointment with my eye doctor again yesterday and as some of you know my vision has been steadily decreasing over the last five years. Well yesterdays appointment showed continued vision loss despite the treatment I am receiving for Lyme so I was very disappointed. I am on the Donta protocol with Dr. C and seeing much improvement in my health on this protocol but not my vision, at least not yet. My eye doctor said he does not believe that my vision loss has to do with my Lyme and that it will not return as the Lyme is treated but he has no other explanation for the vision loss. I am forced to get new lenses for my glasses every six months just so I can see well enough to paint and that is very expensive not to mention anxiety producing. Rita Stanley the Author of Confronting Lyme is doing an article on the LAAP paintings for Lyme Blog http://lymeblog.com/index.php, she sent me an email saying that she also had lost her vision, almost going blind in one eye but that now she has 20/20 vision. Has anyone else lost their vision from Lyme and then regained it after treatment? If so at what point during treatment did your vision begin to return and what did your eye doctor say? Guest guest
: I have seen the February issue and it is wonderful. Let me tell you that I have had a great fluxuation in vision all during my Lyme history. I had loss of vision, floaters, bright lights flashing, and while reading, the text would appear to tilt (like italics) to the right. My right eye had been damaged during my youth, so this one seemed to be effected more than the left. Just as Rita Stanley stated, my eyes have returned to almost normal by now - so in my case also, the vision eventually improved. (I have had the same problems with hearing, by the way). Dr. Stanley also sent me the revised article on you that is to be posted on LymeBlog. I am going to work on getting this article, plus your appeal for more participants into some Newspapers here in North West New Jersey and nearby Pennsylvania. I will let you know if this works and send you copies of the articles. I hope you know that you are a VERY great inspiration for me to continue to write poetry and other projects. I am writing my own Lyme story, and have also been working on a long-term project that concerns from what know, undiscovered aspects of the Ancient Chinese Confucian Classis, the YiJing. I wish you Love, and Peace and Healing: - - Glen [ ] PHA, Dr. jones, LAAP and Vision Loss Here is a link to the February issue of Public Health Alert on the cover is an article about Dr. and the appeal. Guest guest
Thanks so much Glen, that means a lot to me!!!! From the responses I am getting to the vision question I am begining to realize that my eye Doctor has no clue what he is talking about. That makes me feel much more hopefull about my vision loss stopping at some point and even a possible turn around of the loss I have already experienced. Thanks also for your offer to help with the LAAP project, that is wonderful. The more help I get with spreading the word and eventually linning up shows the more my time is freed up to be painting the Lyme stories folks are submitting.
