Guest guest
Hello, I was recently diagnosed with Lyme's but was orginally diagnosed with Polymyalgia Rheumatica (PMR) over a year ago and given prednisone...big time bad for Lyme's. January of this year, I went to a D.O. (Doctor of Osteopathic) and had many tests that included a focus on the gut. I had LOW HCL in my stomach that caused the slow digestion that caused the gas, bloting, inflammation. If food is not properly digested, it gets pushed through your track in big pieces that makes bigger holes in the small intestines. This is called Leaky Gut. I also had 1+Candida Yeast. Suggestion: Find a D.O. or naturapathic doctor for a gastric test to see if you are low on HCL. The sensation is like you have too much acid, so please get checked first. The little pill is great, take before eating. Switch to a Gluten free and low carb (not hard if you are in pain). Also, use pro-biotics like keifer or pill form...huge help for constipation! Once I did the above, my head cleared up and I felt a lot better. If I can help, let me know. > > Hello, was diagnosed with Lyme probably about a year ago. Guest guest
Lyme causes it...you need to increase motility in your GI tract.. use Reglan or whatever your LLMD says to do... also try to cleanse your system...many way to do that without a prescription... You need to flush the Lyme out of your body.. [ ] Doe anyone have this problem. Chronic Painful Abdominal Bloating Hello, was diagnosed with Lyme probably about a year ago. Guest guest
Yes, I suffered from frequent bouts of sometimes very severe abdominal pain. sometimes resulting in tossing my cookies sort of speak. My PCP did all sorts of tests each time and nothing showed up as wrong with any organ/system in my entire abdomen. I haven't experienced such since my last hospitalization in January 2008 and hopefully won't. Sometimes certain meds, especially antibiotics, can contribute. My LLMD recommends Diflucan twice a week and eating yogurt such as DanActive and/or taking live Acidophilus via capsules 3 times a day to not only counteract the side effects of the antibiotics, but also to help keep the intestinal tract working. I'm on IV Rocephin, so my LLMD also has me taking Urisodol to help prevent the small possibility of gallstones. Hope this helps! I had Lyme and Babesia for a year before being properly diagnosed and starting proper treatment. Barb K.-Lyme patient [ ] Doe anyone have this problem. Guest guest
I have had a lot of bloating--since I have been diagnosed with Lymes and before. I have not had a lot of pain, but the discomfort that I feel is controlled by taking acidophyllis and other probiotics on an empty stomach. The biggest problem I have is not being able to take probiotics during the two hours before and two hours after my antibiotic--that is when I take a teaspood of l-glutamine powder. I have also been diagnosed with a gluten allergy so eliminating gluten has slightly improved the bloating, but it is still there. Kathleen Eureka CA I've had this relentless upper abdominal pain and distention\bloating. I also do have gastroparesis (slow digestion).
