In the last 6 months I have experienced bilateral knee and shoulder pain. Sometimes my fingers, elbows, wrists and ankles bother me. It is getting worse. I go to a nurse practitioner who has done a battery of tests. My sed rate is quite elevated at 44. The Western Blot is not back yet. My Rheumatoid Factor was negative. About 20 years ago I removed a tick from my body when I lived in NJ. Hard to know if there was a rash - can't exactly see my own butt :-) Anyhow, I have been started on doxcycline yesterday and have been doing lots of reading on Lyme's.
