Hi Trudy,

I find that working with an acupuncturist helps to keep me pain free. In

addition, I've

eliminated all processed foods from my diet along with meats/poultry with growth

hormones, etc., and gone mostly organic.

It does make a difference in how I feel and it's not as expensive as I thought.

You actually

eat less when you're consuming more greens and raw fruits and vegetables.

I also use a whey protein and green drink in the mornings that helps with my

energy levels

and take Dr. B's supplements from his treatment protocol. They help a lot! And I

take a

cleansing drink make up of of organic unsweetened cranberry concentrate, organic

lemon

juice, and organic apple cider mixed with water that helps keep my system

cleaned out. I

can share the formula, if you like.

And I walk. Exercise, no matter how lousy I feel, helps. And I rest without

complaint now,

when I need to rest.

Meditation and Reiki help me, as well. Worry and stress only exacerbate symptoms

for me.

I hope others will add to these basics.

Jen

I am using the salt and vitamin C regimen along with andrographis and

resveratrol and doxycycline. There are lots of herbals out there you

can try. Different ones keep popping up as I search the web. The

andrographis regimen is from the book, Healing Lyme by Buhner.

You can struggle on your own, or you can read the Healing Lyme book

by Harrod Buhner. He is a Master Herbalist who has by far

the best book out there on healing Lyme Disease, in my opinion. I

have been on his protocols for over two and a half years now and it

has worked wonders in my life. I have had chronic Lyme since 1999

and was near death, literally, by 2005, even after taking Cipro for

24 days back in 2000, and proclaimed " cured " by my Duck.

NOT!

I slowly relapsed so that by 2005 I could hardly function anymore.

NOW I am at least 90% and working hard everyday. Oh, yes, and I am

67 years old. His herb recommendations has done wonders not only

with the Lyme arthritis, but also the regular arthritis I have had

for 20 years or more. It is genetic. I take more than Buhner's

recommended " core " protocol though.

Hope this helps.

Jim

what do you mean you take more than Buhner's core protocol?

Just exactly that Liz. The core protocol consists of Andrographis,

Cat's Claw, Resveratrol, Sarsaparilla and possibly Astragalus. I

also take other herbs recommended by Buhner, such as: Nettle Leaf,

Devil's Claw, Red Root tincture, Periwinkle, C-Salts, Stephania Root.

I also take zinc, Saw Palmetto, Huperzine-A, Milk THistle and

vitamins A and E. And sometimes a multi-vitamin because I get them

free.

I have taken other herbs from time to time, but not right now.

Jim.
