Guest guest
How could you possibly not vaccinate your child??? Melody Vogler Re: Cold , My little one is about to turn nine, she started sleeping through the night finally at age six! Your little one is probably going through some purification, holistically you can facilitate the purification with warm baths, massages, compresses and herbal teas. If you want more specific info e-mail me privately and I can give you some of my success stories. My daughter has not been vaccinated and has never been on antibiotics! Guest guest
Hello, It is time to move on from this subject. Please do not continue this discussion on this list, take it private. Thank you for your cooperation, Co-owner Toiletries List Re: Cold I do know a lot more people have re-researched this and now have changed their thinking. They do get their kids vaccinated. The reason so many diseases are not seen is because of the wide population of people that were vaccinated. One of those diseases is Smallpox. I know I too used to think we were all over vaccinated. However, it is the TYPE OF VACCINATION used that needs to be looked at. A live vaccine is one that has shown to cause more problems. I don't know about Arizona not having to have kids vaccinated and allowed to go to school. Being a nurse in Az. I have not seen them able to attend a public school without the major vaccinations! Guest guest
Hmm, no cures here but I was actually thinking you are lucky. My son is 17 months old and has only slept through the night one time EVER. LOL Maybe a humidifier would help though? not sure. Guest guest
I'm glad to find out that someone other than me is always cold. I swear it can be 80 degrees outside and I'm freezing to death. I have some protein mix from GNC that I bought a long time ago (right after surgery) that has the ZMA and other stuff in it...I'm going to start back on it in the morning. I had bloodwork done at six months and every thing was alright except my " ferritin " was elevated. I'm due to have my yearly blood work next month so I'll see what the results are then. The malnutrition issue is scary...but I'll see if I can get back on the right track. Marie P/Florida
Guest guest
When I have lost weight quickly in the past - i had the same problem with being cold-esp my hands and feet. I talked with my MD and he said that it may be an iron deficiency in part but that it also may be related to the fact that your body is undergoing some extraordinary changes and deficits because of the decrease food and nutrient absorption. As you may know - our bodies ALWAYs want to stay in a statuss of equilibrium or balance and that if it is not it will do whatever - to try and get back to a balance. Therefore, the body will divert all of it's extra resources to doing this. Since the extremities are secondary to the body in relation to the heart, lungs , brain and digestive system - the body sometimes slightly decrease the blood supply to the extremities - not enough to endanger the extremities but enough to give the extra reserves to the vital organs. Therefore - some people will experience feeling cold - esp in their hands and feet. I know I experience it more now - but I live in the COLD north of Michigan so I am used of it! Guest guest
I missed the exchange about being cold. I'm cold all the time and have been since surgery. Very, very common phenomenon and a symptom of our bodies' (controlled) starvation. Gives me an excuse for me to buy and wear killer sweaters! > I'm glad to find out that someone other than me is always cold. I swear it > can be 80 degrees outside and I'm freezing to death. Guest guest
I freeze all the time too. And that is SO UNLIKE me. I was the one who could stand in front of an air conditioner and have sweat pouring off of me. You mentioned protein.... My aunt who has worked in the health food industry for years, swears that probably part of my being cold all the time is lack of protein. It's not anemia, cause I've had that checked. My protein was low last time it was checked. Guest guest
Being cold all the time can also be caused from being protein deficient. Try getting in more protein, if you can, and see if that don't help - - - If you know lack of iron isn't the problem. I'm sure lack of protein is mine cause I'm not anemic. Guest guest
FEELING COLD ?? My PCP tells me (my cold feelings ) it's due to a " less active " thyroid, (due to MGB) and taking coumadin (blood thinner) TommyB Re: Cold > I freeze all the time too. And that is SO UNLIKE me. Guest guest
When I first got cold, about 6 days after surgery, I thought it was temporary. I was interested to read on the graduate OSSG list that people are still cold 2 and 3 years after surgery! I wear long underwear (Cuddle-Duds are the best!) all the time and have space heaters in almost every room. Before the MGB I wore short sleeves all year long. Now it's fun to wear layers - jackets and blazers and sweaters. My only complaint would be that my feet are too cold to wear sandals during the summer months. I had to wear shoes and socks all last summer. Still a small price to pay!! Margaret in St. Louis > > I'm glad to find out that someone other than me is always cold. Guest guest
Thanks for the conformation! My husband thinks it's in my mind. I take a HOT bath before going to bed, wear wool socks to bed and sometimes get-up to put on a fleece bedjacket. I've ordered woolen pantyhose from the Vermont Country Store catalogue and have space heaters everywhere, also. Someone mentioned not enough protein, so I'll make sure that I am getting the proper amount. Thanks, Farleigh
Guest guest
Hi! We were told that can only take Benadryl for a cold. Any decongestant is out of the question. That's according to her doctor. She does take Naselcrom - I had to fight for that one. I think she has allergies. I didn't know she cold take vit C.
