Guest guest
I think the hot flashes could be due to the " endorphin rush " when the LDN wears off in the night. At my local pharmacy they sell these small 5 " electric fans. I put one on my side table next to my bed and in the night if I get hot, I switch the fan on. It only blows on me so it doesn't freeze out my husband It works very well. I should say also that my hot flashes from the LDN have pretty much gone away with time, so they will probably wear off for you too. For sleep, try Tension Tamer Tea. Its by Celestial Seasonings, you can get it at any grocery store in the coffee aisle. Purple and light blue box with a lady and a dragon on the front. I swear by it. As for the joints, have you been checked for Lyme or gout? I understand your frustration. Getting more sleep somehow will definitely make you feel a little better about everything. I'm not sure what I would do about the dosage. If it wasn't working for me, I would go up to 4.5, however if you are already having problems with sleep on 3.5, it may make it worse. Not an easy decision. Try and take naps if you can? And maybe you will get sleepier on a higher dose as some people do? I had a reply that my thyroid probably is affecting my joint swellling...but isn't the LDN supposed to help that? I'm going to go completely gluten free...slip up too often but will try it all the way. I drink a cup of coffee a day but will try giving up on that too. So frustrated...have gone the bioidentical hormone route...my recent blood test shows all hormone levels are good. My thyroid tests are fine...just elevated antibodies. Have a good integrative doctor that did the proper thyroid tests. -- R. Guest guest
I would try the Iodine Protocol. The group leader has had her thyroid removed and had cancer. She is recovered and has had a lot of success with the iodine protocol. She works with Dr. Brownstein who has written a book all about it. (Despite what MDs are taught in schools these days, Iodine IS needed and keeps us healthy.) For many years it was recommended to help with many ailments. Glowing, grace~ As Ghandi taught, the secret to life is to struggle against oppression and to fight for what is needed, but not to be attached to any particular outcome. Therein lies the secret of peace within the chaos."For every failure there's another course of action.
