Guest guest
I have fibro and IBS symptoms were part of my struggle. For many years I controlled the fibro with 5HTP and a few other nutritional supplements, but in the autumn of 2009 I had a huge health crash due to a couple of years of unremitting stress. That's when I found LDN. In the health crash I was having massive IBS problems again, debilitating daily acute pain, brain fog, depression, and general debility that made it all but impossible to work. The first morning I knew LDN was going to help, it had already lightened my mental burden. The symptoms quickly started fading away. I responded very quickly. The depression lifted, the pain levels lifted, and the brain fog was significantly improved. About a month later I started the iodine protocol which gave me more energy and took the last of the brain fog away, and also cleared the fibrocystic breast symptoms that had recurred in the health crash. Info on iodine: iodine/ There is absolutely no reason not to take LDN for what is ailing you. However, I strongly suggest that when you start, you start at no greater a dosage than 1.5mg, and stay there at least 2 weeks before increasing your dosage. Fibro folks are generally highly sensitive to any change in our environment, and some people have gotten worse before they got better because they tried to start out at 4.5mg/day instead of ramping up. So to avoid any potential for a less-than-ideal experience, please start out at 1.5mg or below and soak each dose level thoroughly before moving up. If someone has a fast-moving illness, for example lung cancer, I would not recommend going slow because time is of the essence. But the converse is true for fibro folks-- we have time, and we should utilize it. Not utilizing the time is a mistake for us. -- At 03:13 PM 4/25/2011, KR wrote: >Hi, I'm new to the group. Guest guest
I agree with . Start slowly. I actually started at .5mg and slowly increased in .5 every few weeks. I have stopped at 3.5mg, but will probably decrease to 3mg, as I feel I probably did best there. Everyone is different. I have CFS and Fibro. Thanks for any personal experiences you can offer. Kathy
Guest guest
Too tired to write this again. Do a search for TOBDNCNG and you will find my posts. Most of them are about what it has done for me. I love it and won't ever go off of it. Glowing, grace~ As Ghandi taught, the secret to life is to struggle against oppression and to fight for what is needed, but not to be attached to any particular outcome. Therein lies the secret of peace within the chaos."For every failure there's another course of action.
