From Sheila Statlender - PLEASE DISTRIBUTE

Dear All,

It's late, but I want to let you know that we did learn today that Attorney

Pollack will be able to represent Dr. at the next hearing, scheduled for

Tuesday, July 22 (see details noted below). Although I don't have more detailed

information at this point, I was told that dozens of checks had been sent to Dr.

' legal defense fund by Monday. Thanks to everyone who helped with this

tremendous show of support! Please keep in mind that, while the first deadline

has been weathered, more donations will be needed to demonstrate the solvency of

the fund going forward.

In response to numerous requests, we are trying to set up a new Paypal account

to allow folks to donate to the legal defense fund via credit card and over the

internet. As explained previously, the former account contains outdated

information and instructions, and the person who set it up is no longer

available. In the meantime, for those of you who are writing checks, be sure to

make them out to the " Pullman & Comley Trust Account - for Dr. "

and note " gift " in the memo section. (see below for more information and mailing

address).

Dr. hopes to write another " state of the union " for the Lyme community as

soon as possible. His energy is understandably very tied up for the moment with

preparing for Tuesday's hearing, at the same time that he has been maintaining a

very busy practice schedule. Thanks for your patience and please stay tuned!

I hope to issue more complete information very soon about the status (and

success!) of our book sales of Pam Weintraub's " Cure Unknown, " which have been

ongoing since the book signing that my family hosted on July 7. I am happy to

preliminarily report that, to this date, we have been able to raise about $2500

in book sales. Two checks totalling this sum have been made out to the " Pullman

& Comley Trust Account - for Dr. " and sent to the legal defense

fund in care of Pullman & Comley. Through this sale, we have been able to help

distribute the vital and empowering information contained in this book and to

raise funds for Dr. at the same time. We have Pam Weintraub to thank on

both counts! If anyone has sent me a check but has not yet received a book or an

acknowledgement from me, please email me privately to let me know. We have had

to order an additional 40 copies (-: which won't be available until July 20,

since we have sold out of

our copies and the book already has had to be sent for its second printing!

Once they arrive, we will continue to fill new orders to benefit Dr. '

legal defense fund.

With regard to the next hearing: the information (updated earlier today) is as

follows: it will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 4:45 p.m. at the Department of

Public Health Complex, 410 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, Connecticut, Conference

Room " C " in Building 470. As always, Dr. extends a hearty welcome to

everyone who is able to attend. For those who are unable to be there, he

appreciates your good wishes and support from afar. If we receive more specific

information regarding the agenda, we will post it asap.

I hope that this information is helpful. Thanks to everyone for your patience,

your good will and your support. This has been a challenging time for all of us.

Warmly,

Sheila
