Guest guest
Thanks everyone for being willing to share your thoughts about my complaint about not backing up statements. Obviously I wouldn't expect back-ups from personal experience. And I do consider personal experience the MOST valid of all, really. So I just want to say that, yes, I can always check out things, but I am on many lists right now, as I try to get a handle on HIV/HCV, and I don't have time or the energy (mostly energy) to do research all day. So any links are always welcome, as many point out. So all of you who felt impatient with me, please forgive! As all of us, we are trying to get a handle on our individual issues as quickly as possible, as we don't want to be listed in the obituaries of the local papers! And since as a rule we seem to not be too trusting of the " experts " it is a daunting job to try to educate oneself about how to stay/get/remain healthy when we have few trusted advisors! Like, where is the medical school we can go to? Internet? And how can we always trust the sites there, especially those who are trying to sell us their products? So we try to learn from each other, which is probably the best way, huh? But I keep running into statements from several groups like: take this or that ONLY on an empty stomach, or the opposite, and when I do more research, I find the same confusion. Hell, it seems like it's better to just blithely go along and die when one dies, rather than to try to figure out this whole health thing, doesn't it? If you are a victim. And since we're all here sharing and doing what we can, we obviously aren't victims, are we? Well, BRAVO! We're fighters, and we need solid, honest information from personal experience to make our own choices. We are all experimenting on our bodies, and some of us win and some of us lose. I recently lost a friend in Mexico who experimented on her own body for years, but finally lost (probably due to complications from childhood polio). She taught me a lot, and I always had to remind her to back up her pronouncements, too! It is so easy just to have someone tell us what to do. Doctors love that, as do teachers, politicians, etc. Easy patient, no conflict, just do it and hope! NOT!!!! We have brains, and we obviously use them. So my hat is off to all of you where are here trying to figure out how to treat and heal and be well and happy! Bravo to you all! And thanks for sharing from YOUR experiences and if not your experiences, then sharing where you got the info and saving us all having to do hours of research! To your health!Rod American in the Philippines, where the medical establishment would generally love to keep you Not asking questions, too!Youtube movies: rodgis44
