Guest guest
while I really don't understand the legal ramifications on this, I can tell you a little about saline implants based on some studies I have read. Saline implants can "auto-inflate" which means your own body fluids can enter into the implant and expand it, not good news for the "sterility" issue....body fluids would contaminate. Saline implants can harbor and incubate various kinds of bacteria. The saline shell (envelope) is made from silicone elastomer which has been shown to both leach and fragment....this means you are getting a "dose" (of sorts) of silicone and any immunogenic or estrogenic potential, which could produce symptoms of endocrine disruption or immune dysfunction...I have never had a saline implant only silicone gel, I am basing my reply on studies. Good luck to you. ----- Original Message ----- From: Patty Ilena Rosenthal Cc: egroups Sent: Tuesday, August 29, 2000 1:07 PM Subject: Fw: information needed on attorney/saline implants ----- Original Message ----- From: Gene faussettdp@... Sent: Tuesday, August 29, 2000 12:08 AM Subject: information I got silicone implants in May l978. One ruptured in 1992 at that time they were replaced with saline. What is the scoop on saline. The doctor cut out so much tissue when I had the rupture I would be a freak with implants. I am now told saline only last about 5 years. I chose to sue Mcgan personally for all the hell I have had to live with. I understand just about everyone has reached a settlement. I feel my attorney has swept me under the rug and forgot me. He will not return my phone calls. Should I sue him or is a settlement still on going? Any information will be appreciated.
