Guest guest
So true! I finally 'demanded' (well, not quite, but I knew exactly what I wanted) thyroid meds from my doc. I first asked a doctor about my thyroid almost 30 years ago and have been brushed off ever since. I got the med (I am so glad my docs are willing to read stuff!) and am one week into it. No great parting of clouds and feeling like a million...yet. And I know that at this late stage even if I start feeling wonderful, there are some symptoms which may be beyond a cure. But I have to wonder...what happens to those who do not demand health care? Not Much. It is such a shame. But for those of us who are not doctors, we have no credibility when we try to tell people what we've learned. Whaddya do?
