A while ago I posted a link that I found saying you shouldn’t take DLPA if you are taking Baclofen (please don’t ask me to re-post the link – will have to search the messages). When I last saw my pain management nurse she asked how I was getting on with amitriptyline (low dose) for neuropathic pain and I said I didn’t find it was doing much so she wanted me to try baclofen. I know all the ins and outs of baclofen as my partner takes it for his SPMS. She rang today to see how I was getting on and I said I only picked it up yesterday. She asked if I was prescribed omezerapole with it. I said I had a script only for the baclofen. She became very concerned as she said you must take something when taking baclofen as it causes acid reflux and asked if I had anything like that. I told her I was taking Betaine HCL with pepsin and she said ‘oh that’s fantastic, in fact, that is much better’. Make sure you do take the HCL every day if you are taking baclofen. So I thought I’d share that with this group as I know many are taking baclofen for various reasons. Jayne Crocker www.LDNNow.comImportant!
