Guest guest
Hi everyone I have been on doxy for 8 weeks now and last 2 weeks have been experiencing what feels like constant mucus caught in my throat like I have to clear my throat all the time and swallow. Does anyone know what this could be it feels like a lump in my throat. Thanks
Guest guest
, I think that it is probably your lymph nodes. I have been on antibiotics for almost 3 months and the lymph nodes in my neck are very swollen. It is caused by the bacteria being killed off by the antibiotics. They go into your lymphatic system. I just currently started to research this myself and have not yet seen my doctor about the problem. There are different things that you can do to clean out your lymph system. Also a swedish massage is reccomended once a week to kind of get the system moving. The bacteria and other toxins plug up your system. My sister is a massage therapist and she said there is also a special massage just for the lymphatic system. Check with your doctor and see what he has to say. There are also natural herbs you can take for your lymphatic sytem as well. Keep me posted. Guest guest
, Do you have post nasal drip? I tend to feel like I have something in my throat all the time from sinuses draining. Lyme loves to irritate your sinuses, so does fungus. You could have a fungal type of sinusitis draining mucous in your throat after all those antibiotics. Are you on acidophilus? It is always so hard to tell what all is wrong with us Lyme patients since the symptoms are so varied. I just got off 56 days of doxycycline, and I am no where near better (besides this having been my third try at IV antibiotics). I regularly have symptoms of sinusitis and mucous in my throat which is probably not your average everyday sinusitis which would be bacterial (due to all the antibiotic use), so I am assuming it is allergic or fungus (does not feel like a virus). Maybe your throat problem is of similar nature. Either way, I hope you feel better. Dagmar **************Planning your summer road trip? Check out AOL Travel Guides.
