Guest guest
Moe, Unicity/Rexall has a product called the " paraway pak " and it is used to get rid of internal parasites naturally and safely without a bunch of chemicals that can wreck havoc on your liver,, isnt it already hurtin enough? I am using it after a trip to mexico and at that time did not know I had hep c,, drank a lot of alcohol and a lot of jello shooters ( made with water) oops,, got bugs,, and it is clearing it safely... One of the problems with a chemical that kills the parasites is that many times they are still attached to your intestinal wall and end up having to die and them break down , and rot in your gut, and that makes its own toxins etc,, this product makes the parasite let go and then you naturally eliminate it before it dies or as it dies and so you dont have to wait until it totally breaks down before it it totally eliminated.. much safer.. If you want more info,, let me know,, jackie > At 02:42 AM 4/24/02 +0000, you wrote: > >Message: 1 > > Date: Mon, 22 Apr 2002 21:11:28 -0700 > > From: Kay s <ikonltd@...> > >Subject: question > > > >I am wondering if anyone has had any experience with the following. Guest guest
Dear Moe, Thanks for your in depth response, it is very interesting in terms of the "allergies" as well, I have been using "greens" but it has soy lecithin in it, so i'm avoiding it for now. I'm taking an herbal preparation with wormwood and oregano that my chinese doctor gave me for the H pilori, the toxoplasmosis is supposed to be harder to get rid of...I;'m interested in getting rid of them because she says my immune response in my gut is very low and this is taxing my entire immune system. Also allergies to wheat and soy if i'm eating them are interfering with the digestion /absorption of Dr. zhangs herbs which i am taking. will let you know what happens, we had decided not to pursue antibiotics, even my gastro agreed. I have been looking for "an obstacle to cure" with my herbal program, Chinese, etc. meaning what is preventing them from working and I was recently diagnosed with allergies to wheat and soy as well as two parasites, does anyone know about getting rid of them without antibiotics? Thanks Kay Kay, Dr. Young would say that it's acid, in a nutshell. He's saying that the body is self-healing, including allergies when it's alkaline, not acid. This is a huge oversimplification, and for space reasons, not suitable for this venue. He goes into it in depth at http://www.innerlightfoundation.org. As for parasites, they can not live in a mineral rich body, and a mineral rich body is an alkaline body. MSM works wonders regarding parasites because it strengthens the mucous membranes of the body providing resistance to foreign invaders. Think of MSM as a coating of teflon on your intestines, preventing parasites from taking hold, but that's still a bandaid that misses the whole picture of why the parasites are there. Parasites are needful when the body is broken down, and in an acid condition. When Dr. Young talks about an acid condition, with regard to "germs" or parasites, he's saying that they simply can't exist in an alkaline environment. There is not need to KILL parasites, as there is to remove the environment that they thrive in. The healthy body is the cure, not the parasite cleanse, or whatever herbs kill parasites. He calls this the New Biology. When the body's fluids are properly balanced, the body heals spontaneously. Bam. Poof. He further says that the toxins produced within an overly acidic, oxygen deprived body contribute significantly to what are often called symptoms of allergy. In addition ,the absorption of undigested proteins is a major cause of allergy conditions. A weakened digestive system, which prevents the total breakdown of amino acids is the primary cause of food allergies. His remedy is SuperGreens and Prime pH. And that, is simply, the NEW BIOLOGY. (see his site above for more info, and my site below for his incredible InnerLight products.) The body is the cure. Herbs are only useful to bring into balance what is out of balance. They have never been the "cure". Moe http://www.innerlightinc.com/mosaicbymoe 1-800-780-9464

Guest guest
Hi, I will answer this briefly as these are not layterms but the description will make it clear: 1.what else besides liver problems would make your enzymes go up (ALT and AST) A: Heart attack, gall stone and bile duct stones, post -surgery, post-anesthesia, High lipid levels in blood. 2.hep C from I.V drug use and contaminated needles A: 1)Per se using drugs by iv route or using unwashed or dirty needles, will NOT cause Hep C.( drugs dont have the virus). 2)Repeatedly injecting yurself will also NOT cause HepC 3)IV drug usage is linked with sharing needles with other people , that causes contamination of needles and can then transmit HCV, HBV or HIV. 4)Conataminated needle means..contaminated with another persons blood or fluids so it may have a virus. Dr Sharat Misra MD,DM,FACG This question came up in a conversation in a group where hep ws the topic--what else besides liver problems would make your enzymes go up (ALT and AST) Also, another question, was u read and i hv several times that u " can " get hep C from I.V drug use and contaminated needles. This turned into a big discussion as one person stated that he either got from someone else or he gave it to " himself " . I hv had a couple people say that. Now, logic to me would be the virus would hv to be there to start with b4 anyone cd get it. As far as the guy giving it to himself, and asking for an explanation on that statement he said with his i.v. use even though he used his own needle and no one elses that he gave it to himself because there is always the matter of " dried blood or blood left in the needle that u can't even see but it is there and he says that wd be how he gave it to himself. I am still of the mind the virus had to be there first no matter what. Also, I hv read many articles that says u can get it from i.v. drug use and contaminated needles. Well, that sentence always bothered me because I understand how u get it thru drug use but now as far as the contaminated needles, do these articles mean that the needles were dirty from say dirt, just unclean without the virus being there but getting it just because the needle ws dirty. There again logic tells me still yet -that the virus would still hv to be on that needle. I hope I am not coming off as being stupid-some of these things i do ask, i do feel stupid, but this became such a big discussion yesterday that i feel the need to ask and get some answers. Any and all responses welcome. Thanks cher

Guest guest
Cheri, You can go to: http://www.carbonbased.com/cbcblood.htm and look up blood tests, what is normal and abnormal, and what it could mean. As for contaminated needles - that expression is used to mean needles that have been already used. A new needle is not contaminated, but once it has been used it is. That doesn't mean that the virus suddenly starts growing there. You are right, it had to come from somewhere else first. He couldn't 'give it to himself' if he didn't already have it. Guest guest
Becki!!!, Hi hun !!! I use the off brands myself quitew often, although I do know that with some mediactions the generic for the name brand is not quite up to par ex. Synthroid ...the generic is not equal to the name brand ) this got me in lots of trouble once. But as for using store brands over name brands well if the truth be know its ussually produced in the same factory but just issued a different label. They have to list all ingedients so read the labels and then beings is only 3 and I've not heard you say his weight , well I would at least talk to my pharmacist, because it might be that at his weight and age, that he is already on the max. dose that is safe. So we wouldn't want you to inadvertently cause stomach problems or some other type reaction that might be brought on by a little too much for his size ! My mom is a nurse and she always told me that most people under mediacte themselves in the case of say taking tylenol for a headache or fever. She says that that's like not taking it at all, if your under dosed. So just check with the pharmacist and know david's weight when you call. I agree with you about the money, my mother resorted to purchasing coated aspirin by the thousands for me when I was ten through the nursing home she worked for. I took 40 a day for aprroximately 6 years. A thousand at a time was about 3/4 the price of 100 at a time. Wish you knew a nurse or someone that could get a large supply like that for you!! Pharmacist may be able to order you in a huge bottle too !!!!!!!! omg I was going to just give my opinion lol I need some of those chinese finger traps that I was explaining to Donna's youngest son today lol!!! Guest guest
Becki, Hi, there is absolutly no difference in motrin or ibuprofin. They are the same exact drug, but "Motrin" , "Advil" are just name brands that sell at a higher price. Wal-Mart brand ibuprofin is the same thing, so, I agree, if its cheaper and he can swallow the pills with no problem, them give him those. It will save your pocket book ALOT!!!!! Good Luck!! Guest guest
Generally when you fill your prescriptions the pharmacist will substitute a generic . Most insurance companies insist on generics. They are generally as effective. I always buy the generic. Our daughter takes Zantac. The name brand is quite expensive. I can't remember the price. It was about $10-15 for a weeks supply I think. At Costco I can get a couple month supply for that price (or less) generic. If you have a Costco or Sams or similar they are even better than WalMart. But if not go with the WalMart. Save the money. use it for something good. Or for something fun! --e PS I am a nurse and we always use generics unless there is only a name brand
Guest guest
Hi Becki! The only thing that is different from the "brand" and the "off brand" is the fillers that they use to make up the pill. If your child can tolerate the off brand GO FOR IT! The active ingredients is the only part of the medicine that is important. Have a sunny day! Guest guest
Hi maria, Bri's ped. rheumy told us to do the range of motion. Each joint 20 times a day. Even if you can only get them to do 3 or 4 at a time as long as by the end of the day you have done each affected joint 20 times in range of motion. Meaning; taking her foot, one at a time and moving it in a circular motion, very slow and gently. Then hold her foot up(working the ankle joint) and then down. Bending and straightening her leg(working the knee because of stiffness, and she use to couldn't bend her legs straight out) And just each joint in a range of motion gently and slowly. And you can also gently massage their muscles. And we are not lucky enough to have the aqua therapy where we go unless it's something I don't know about cause shes so young but I havn't never asked either. Hope that helped. Hope Rob is doing ok with all this. He is in our prayers Jona and Bri 2 poly schulzjm@... wrote: Hello all....I was wondering...do you guys have your kids on daily exercise regimen. How do you get them motivated to do it, etc. Rob just started physical therapy last week, aqua therapy, and we will get a home program this week. I am going to try to get him to do exercises in the morning and at night as a habit for life (I hope!). As well as joining the local pool and swimming several nights a week. I have been doing some simple stretching with him morning and night, but was just wondering what kinds of routines you all do.Thanks
Guest guest
Hi, . Now that Chris' pain is better controlled, he feels better and is able to do more. We joined a health club in order to get him moving. He has really done well, and is thinning out (although growing taller seems to be what has helped in that respect). He is able to swim, walk or run on the treadmill, use weights and exercise machines. His self esteem has really improved and is even talking about maybe playing sports again. He goes at his own pace. Plus he does yard work around the house now that he can walk without a limp again. The meds are what has really helped him. That and the pt he received when he was first diagnosed. That started the ball rolling for him. Michele -----Original Message-----From: schulzjm@... Guest guest
A question for anyone, The below quote came from a doctor discussing synthetic thyroid. My question: If a person who had normal thyroid function took Armour thyroid, would it hurt them? Jim " no scientific evidence (lab numbers) that I need it. She said that doctors use the abnormal lab result numbers to determine the dosage amounts. Since my numbers are " normal " , she wouldn't know how much to prescribe, and I could have awful side effects.
