Guest guest
My son and husband are on A-Bart, A-Bab, and A-L. They are best taken with a little water. To get the full affect, swish the liquid in your mouth for about 30 seconds before swallowing. And, most importantly, start slow. Start with one drop in about a half a shot glass of water. Every week or so, as you can tolerate it, increase one drop until you get to the full 15. My husband went for the gusto with A-Bart and it knock him right down. He suffered from severe depression and terrible fatigue. He started back at one drop and is now up to 3 drops twice a day of each. He is tolerating them much better. It will take him quite a while to get to 15 drops each, but at least he's taking his time with it. And they are helping. ________________________________ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of momtomonsters Sent: Saturday, February 26, 2011 1:40 PM Subject: [ ] Tinctures-how to take I was given the tincture A-Bab. There are no instructions on how the drops are to be administered. Is it ok to put the drops in honey or choc syrup? Or even applesauce? Guest guest
Tammy, My LLMD told me that A-BART is a homeopathic and herbal tincture. For that reason, it cannot be taken with anything but water. It is interesting that the label does not have the usual homeopathic information on it, but apparently, the company has told MD's that they have homeopathic ingredients. One of my fellow lyme support group members was told that it was " potentized " . Having had some herbal medicine training, I know there is no such thing as a " potentized' herbal tincture. Somehow they get around labeling the tincture with the homeopathic ingredients. However, the way my LLMD taught me to take the tincture was typical of how you would handle a homeopathic medicine. In addition to shaking the bottle, you need to hit it on the bottom at least six times. That, I believe, is standard handling for liquid homeopathic meds. You also can only take it in water and cannot take any food or drink [other than water] 20 minutes before and 20 minutes after you take A-BART. Kathleen Eureka CA Are these homeopathic tinctures? Guest guest
Thank you all for your rresponses. I appreciate you taking the time to provide information. I spoke with the LLMD and he needs to take it in water and can chase it with water. This is going to be tough as nausea is one of his problems right now. Thanks again. momtomonsters > > > >> > >> > >> Tammy, > >> > >> My LLMD told me that A-BART is a homeopathic and herbal tincture. For that > >> reason, it cannot be taken with anything but water.
