Guest guest
Bravo, Tom!  Thanks for bringing this to our attention. These are very pertinent points. I wholeheartedly agree with your suggestions and observations re media ploys and pointed questions.  May I add the following questions/statements:  1. The Lyme community expects CDC to immediately stop wasting allocated funds. No more wasted funding to IDSA and its guideline authors for bogus educational courses or studies on PLS or MUS.  2. Lyme community, which includes patients and physicians, needs immediate development of looooooong-term combination antibiotic treatment protocol, as has been accomplished for tuberculosis.  Tina J. Date: Friday, February 18, 2011, 2:52 PM  I see Dr. ph Burrascano is speaking in Santa March 21st. I hope he can speak freely and openly now that he is not in danger of Medical-Review. I wish I could attend. My concern is that the CDC will waste more of our tax dollars on trying to send speakers to Santa to discredit Dr B before the talk. It seems there are many coincidental appearances of officials with opposing viewpoints such as when Dr B spoke last July in WI and in New Jersey and New York. If any anti-lyme PR cronies and the-like make an appearance: it is hardly by accident. If citizens and Lyme patients have the opportunity to attend this traveling pro-IDSA PR-medicine show, whose purpose seems to be simplistic and dogmatic repetition of the party-line which is Lyme is easily diagnosed, treated and does not persist... If this happens Lyme patients should take the opportunity to ask these CDC shills some very hard questions about Lyme research and the lack of American studies looking for brain involvement and persistence. Perhaps we will even see tragically flawed newspaper articles about Lyme-activism fueling inaccurate conclusions about the seriousness of Lyme that are placed in the Santa region's newspapers as " News Stories " just prior to the talk, as we have seen can mysteriously happen. These preemptive strikes by pro-IDSA organizations are no accident, and we should take them to task for wasting our tax dollars. TG
