Initail tick bite treatment

My thoughts on duration of treatment for a tick bite is 6-8 weeks of doxycycline

(drug of choice, different med. for kids however).  Lyme lyses

/replicates/cycles approx. every month therefore I think you need to hit at

least one month and preferably two to prevent possible progression of the

disease.

You have to fight for it, but it can be done.  Bring into the doc Burrascans's

Advanced Topics on Lyme Disease and ILADS Standards of Care to the physician and

tell them that is what you want to do.

Dosage also needs to be 300-600 mg toatal daily of Doxy., so 400 my I feel is a

good amount.  It comes in 100 mg capsules so that is taking 2 tabs twice a day.
