Guest guest
I have had alot of dental problems, starting many years ago. The problems would come on suddenly...I would have a dental exam, without any issues, than 3 months later I would have a decaying tooth. I have had several root canals, which never solve the problem, and as a result, have had to have the tooth extracted. I tested positive for Lyme in 1996, but my doctor wrote it off as a bad test result since I was living in Las Vegas at the time. But I grew in Chicago and spent many summers in Wisconsin. My symptoms were bad for a few years then went into remission until 2006, when everything just reappeared with a vengeance. jimmyjc49 writes: > I suspect i have had lyme for several years. It seems after a severe attack of shingles in 2007 all the other symtoms seemed to star. In Oct or Nov 2008 I had a very seriuous attack of symtoms and had to force our family md practice to do a lyme test which was negative. now my question is and i will explain why i ask. Has anyone in the group experienced any dental problems with their lyme disease?? Because in 2008-2009 and 2010 i have had several tooth problems with the nerves decaying and the root pulp decaying and causing infections resulting in root canals and or extraction. Also on these ocassions I have had big doses of antibiotics and feel well and releived of the lyme symtoms un till 4 to 6 weeks after tooth repair and the end of antibiotics then all systoms start to return. these tooth problems did not start from enamel decay from the outside in but from the inside out as my dentist and x-rays have revealed. One root decy almost resulted in jaw bone infection. My dental practice has suggested a LLMD I am going to set a appointment with very soon. Hopefully for a better diagnosis and more test. Hope to receive feedback from any group member. Thank You JIM C >
Guest guest
YES!!! I was going to ask the same question so glad you asked. I've been having nothing but problems with my teeth and the dentist or myself couldn't understand why as I floss and brush well and get my teeth cleaned regularly. I now have 11 cavities to be filled, have lost 3 teeth, had a few root canals recently, etc. I am so afraid I'm going to end up losing all my teeth and getting false ones. I am new to Lyme so I don't have any suggestions on what to do. I have just started using a natural mouthwash called Periowash as it has some bacteria fighting herbs in it. You can look it up on _www.iherb.com_ (http://www.iherb.com) . Tammy In a message dated 3/4/2011 3:47:32 P.M. Central Standard Time, jimmy@... writes: I suspect i have had lyme for several years. Guest guest
This is a new aspect to me, as my wife (three years of infection) hasn't indicated that she has any teeth issues at all (just massive pain, in various locations at different times and in several different forms). What makes you think you might have Lyme Disease? Surely not just the teeth issues?
Guest guest
Have had lyme sine 1998. Tested positive again this year. On Cowden. Back, joint, ear, eye, brain affected. No stranger to lyme.
