Guest guest
can you send me Bees website...i very ill with lyme but i believe what you are saying...makes so much sense..thank u i will talk to you more later pretty sick right now..mornings are the worst for me...as far as my horrid symptoms...im also in a very verbally and mentally abusive marriage..its been so hard on me and my boy...thanks you your help...love can you tell me your story.. Subject: [ ] Re: anti-candida diet to kill lymes bacteria Date: Wednesday, March 16, 2011, 5:46 PM thank-you so much for responding. I was beginning to wonder if any-one would. I believe diet plays a major part in all illnesses. The immune system has to be weakened by something for an illness, even like Lymes, to cause major issues. I guess what causes the weakened immune system is individual to each person, but I do know diet plays a major part. I thought I was eating healthy, but something this past fall caused me to feel really sick. It affected my muscles with a strange weakness that left me feeling fluish. My alternative care doctor , who is Lyme literate, believed I had Lymes, even though I never saw a tick bite and never had a postitive test. I have through the years had fatigue, foggy thinking, and the symptoms you described. It wasn't until I found bee's website that I realized how similar candida and lymes symptoms are. My doctor gave me very strong herbs that he said would cause die=off with any bacteria or fungi. They must have worked for immediately I began having die-off symptoms. When reading bee's website I realized candida could be being fed by even the raw dairy I had been eating and properly prepared grains. I guess I then began to wonder about the candida Lymes connection. If we have candida, very common in about 80% of people today, then our immune system also suffers, and Lymes can take hold of us, along with other things. I do know that for me ,giving up even natural sugars, along with dairy and grains have caused me to have die-off and I am still there, but I do know that I will get better. God designed our bodies to heal given the proper nutrients and supplements. Glad to hear you are feeling so much better. Just out of curiosity, why did you not go with Bee's whole approach? I have had some negative thoughts about some of the things she believes, but her success stories seem so positive. > Hi Just wanted to reply and say that yes, diet / lifestyle changes and supplements have absolutely helped, if not eradicated my Lyme symptoms! I don't follow Bee's exact candida diet but since reading her website a few months ago I have followed the " common sense " approach of cutting out coffee, refined sugar, any foods with chemicals (at least as much as possible) and eating far more vegetables and whole grains and my symptoms have nearly gone! The sugar was the most important thing to cut out, and I start to feel worse again if I start eating it! The other important thing is breathing more deeply and slowly (this almost completely eradicated my lifelong muscle pain- I wish I had developed some more sense earlier!). Basically, if you create a less toxic environment for the bacteria and preserve as many nutrients as you can instead of destroying them with much of the unhealthy food we eat, the bacteria cannot thrive, and your immune system is strengthened! There is no treatment as effective as the immune system, which after all is designed to fight anything, as long as we keep it in good order! I am strongly against long term drugs due to their toxicity and the fact that in 99% of cases that I have heard about, they just make things worse! I would love to write a longer post about my improvements on Lyme Aid or Eurolyme but have got some aggressive / abusive responses in the past from people who are not able to tolerate another point of view, so I try to stay away from support groups now. Anyway, I believe we are all responsible for our own health and we can keep Lyme bacteria under control, just like we do with all the other bacteria we are carrying around all the time.. Just to be clear, this is is not about finding a " cure " , as bacteria cannot be completely eradicated, just controlled so that it does not affect us badly! I may not have been suffering from the very worst case of Lyme, but I went from completely exhausted, head fuzzy, bad concentration and memory, extremely painful muscles and generally feeling awful all the time, to 99% normal in 3 months, from following some basic logic with diet and lifestyle! I hope that has helped..? Best wishes and good luck!

I just wanted to add to Chris's response about Bee's website- the diet is great and has helped lots of people, but stress is really the biggest cause of the immune system weakening, so no amount of herbs, supplements or diet changes will help as much as trying to eliminate the stressful situation you are in. Stress also raises your acidity levels, another thing that bacteria thrives on. Is there any way you could have a trial seperation and stay with family for a while or anything that gives you a chance to recuperate..? That, as well as changing your diet and taking extra supplements could make a big difference! One other thing, apparently 95% of us do not breathe properly (even children by the age of 6 are often already shallow breathing due to stress) so try taking several slow, relaxed, deep breaths in (through your nose) and out. My favourite breathing exercise when I've been in severe pain, or very stressed, is taking one long breath in to one count, and then very slowly out to 5. Make sure you breathe out completely, as again, most people never do, causing stale air to build up. Repeat a minimum of 5 times. You would be surprised how much a simple thing like that can help, as many of us only ever take short, shallow breaths which causes you to feel very tired and makes your muscles seize up. I wish you the best of luck and do try to at least take a break, if you can't get away from your home situation altogether, and see if the rest does you (and maybe all of you) good! Abusive relationships are usually something that you look back on in the future and can try to understand, but it's very important to distance yourself to get a new perspective, and to give you a rest, whenever you can! Good luck again!
Guest guest
This is entirely possible. Those of you who are familiar with methylation theory know that, according to that theory, our symptoms are caused because the infection triggers a breakdown in a key biochemical pathway. The specifics of that breakdown -- and hence the specifics of our symptoms -- are determined by our own individual genetics. Some of us are more genetically programmed for methylation breakdown than others, which may be why some of us get sicker than others. In my case, my genetic peculiarities made me *very* sick when I went on Salt/C. It basically sent me into low-grade congestive heart failure (I ended up in the ER twice), because the genes governing some key adrenal functions created biochemical misfirings in how my heart worked. And that created a cascade effect that caused a lot of other problems as well. When I got off Salt/C, it took me about eight months to recover from the damage done. This protocol is *not* for everybody. If it's making you weak -- and particularly if you're having specific CHF symptoms -- you probably need to get off of it, if only for a few months to see if you start feeling better.
