Guest guest
Ruby, I've heard good things about grape seed extract and have considered taking it, but don't know if I would take grapefruit extract, because there are some antibiotics that you can't eat grapefruit with (I'm not sure which ones they are, but I'm sure you could google that too) . What ar your symptoms again Ruby? I'm sure you posted them but can't remember. I make my father take grapeseed extract for his emphysema and I think it's good for gut issues, but I would have to look it up again. I research everything. I also have harmonal deficiencies and heavy metal toxicities that I am treating. Where do you live? Whoever was talking about a thyroid specialist, it's called a endocrinologist. Also, I agree Armour or desicatted adrenal is better for Lyme patients then the synthetic prescriptions. I took Dessicated Adrenal Complex from Standard Process (don't needa prescription for this) I'm sure they have a website as well. I also get many of my supplements from MD Custom located in Brookfield and Glendale. They will mail things out and have specialty compounded medications like Bio-identical harmone replacement, etc...Their website is www.mdcustomrx.com! I also got rectal supps. for heavy metal toxicities from them. They are called EDTA Calcium (need aprescription for that) Also, get my Vitamin B12 shots there. I'm a believer in Glutathione and received it IV when I had a PICC, but you can also get it in other forms. I ordered it from Wellness Pharmacy in Arkansas. Need a script. Neurotransmitter levels checked via NeuroScience and they sell the recommended supplements to balance out your levels. Heavy metal teating was through Doctor's Data. You can google any of these, I believe they all have websites. I really believe in all the additional support in balancing your body. Glutathione is a natural supplement that is already in our bodies and stored in our liver, however when we are so sick these channels are often blocked and glutathione can open up your detox. pathways and aide in healing. For detox. make sure you drink lots of water and a sauna is great if you have access to one. I use mine at the gym I go to, it's a dry sauna. My husband with working full time can't do very much in the detox, department but does try to drink lots of water. He's so tall he can't take a bath, so my doc recommended just doing epsom salt foot soaks to remove toxins. There is also a prescription Cholestyramine that is used to lower cholesterol levels but it is great I've heard for Lyme patients in binding toxins. I too had the very low temperature in the AM, but not any longer, as you progress through treatment it will get better, I do think that the thyroid /adrenal complex may really be helpful for you. Zithromax helps prevent resistence to Mepron and helps kill Lyme as well Igenex is the lab that you would want to use if you tested negative via conventional methods. Those tests are extremly inaccurate. Go to www.igenex.com . If you call them they can send you a kit, but a doctor does need to sign it and list diagnosis codes. You can take it to a lab with the instructions and have it drawn, it does need to be spun I believe. I used our local hospitals lab for my whole family. Then I sent it out fed- ex from home in a postage pain envelope. Fed ex will come right to your door and pick it up. Just call and request to schedule a pickup. You have to pay in advance but then they will send you a receipt with the coding after it's processed that you can submit to your insurance company. They willl only send the results to the doctor that signed for it and it takes about 3 weeks, but you can call them after a week or so and they will give you information as to when it will be expected to be done. Good luck all and I welcome our many new members to the board! KrisTIN ..Hope this info. may help some of the new members on the board.
