Guest guest
I know if I could get my brain to work I could research this more fully on my own, but oh my goodness the brain fog has me down. I feel like I am not improving very much so I wanted to run my meds by some of you who are more experienced to see if I may need to ask my LLMD about adding something else. I have a follow up with him in a couple of weeks and never feel like I am very prepared to ask good questions. I am doing IV Rocephin 4 days on 3 days off (I am on my 7th week) Previously had been on Doxy or Mino at various doses. Flagyl on the 3 days off of Rocephin Rifampin twice a day 7 days a week I have a positive Lyme test through Igenex and a clinical dx of bartonella. Diagnosed officially in 9/10, but symptoms for at least 3 years. It seems as though I may not be attacking the " L " form? But I am not sure what the Rifampin does outside of possibly treating Bart? I realize Flagyl is supposed to be a cyst buster and Rocephin just kills the spirochetes so that is why I wonder is something is missing. Not sure which abx would be a good addition? Of course I am also on a number of supplemental type things like probiotic, magnesium, ALA, B12, Fish Oil, LDN. That's all I can remember but I know there are many more bottles in that cabinet. One thing I wanted to mention is that I had been noticing some improvement in my energy levels and pain levels but I had to miss last week of my IV meds due to a port malfunction while out of town. I didn't feel bad while off the meds that week, but when I restarted this week I have felt miserable. I didn't think it was a herx b/c I never had a herx when I first started on the IV. I did get a note from my doc that my WBC is low, but I guess not quite low enough to stop the meds yet? Maybe that is why I feel so poorly this week? I know there are a lot of question in this one post, but if anyone has any suggestions on any piece of it I would be so grateful. Thank you all...
