Guest guest
Ask your Dr. to try an antibiotic challenge. I had some weird results, also after having Lyme for 13 years undiagnosed. After an antibiotic challenge, I was CDC positive! Best of luck,
Guest guest
I agree - if you did not you should of done a course of abx before your igenex test......also I have heard that if you get the test in the beginning of your menes it also makes it more sensitive.......the abx bring out the immune response therefor bring the antibodies back out in our blood more....my thougths are that if any bands show up you must have lyme in your body.......but???? ________________________________ From: Padgett <c.padgett1@...> Sent: Sat, April 9, 2011 6:10:14 AM Subject: [ ] Re: Questioning my Lyme diagnosis... Guest guest
Band 23 is specific for Lyme - it's outer surface protein C - the EBV can be opportunistic based on immune suppression from Lyme, so ... that may be what your dr is thinking. Low CD57 may also indicate immune suppression from Lyme. You don't say if you have tried any treatment? And, treatment can take months to be effective. If you don't have faith in your dr, you will have to search elsewhere, but this sounds like a logical place to start, given your test results. If you want someone to tell you you don't have Lyme, you can just go to the nearest ID specialist. They will tell you it's chronic fatigue or fibromylagia, uncurable. Do you want that? --
