Guest guest
Well, since I've started talking, maybe I can ask another question of everyone.... When he was about 15-16yrs, I noticed some strange marks on my son's back. I was afraid at first that he had scraped himself up skateboarding, but when I really got a good look, they looked more like stretchmarks than injuries. They were horizontal marks, from just below his shoulder blades to right above his lower back area. He said they were not painful, he didn't even really realize they were there till I made a point of looking at them. He's never been over weight. The only thing I could think of at the time was that he had had a huge growth spurt that year - growing 8-10 inches taller in less than 12 months. While doing some research on Barts, I've seen some pictures of what look just like those marks, on people's backs, and now am wondering if I should try to get my son to pursue testing? It's been about two years since I first saw the marks, and since then he's gone to live with his father, and then moved out on his own to attend college. The only health problems he's told me about were having what seemed to be the flu, and a fever twice, this past year. He may not have told me about other problems. My reaction is that he should be checked, but I'm afraid those around me think I am just seeing Lyme, Barts, and other infections everywhere since I discovered them in myself. Guest guest
My younger brothers all 3 had/have those bartonella stretch marks. My youngest brother on his back, exactly like you describe. I believe they first appeared sometime around 14yo or so. Stretch marks in *some* places might be just that... stretch marks, but on the back?? That's bartonella!! No doubt! (congenital Lyme and Bartonella. Also Babesia, Erlichiosis, and who knows what else!) daughter of a congenital Lymie sister of 3 congenital Lymies mother of 2 congenital Lymies [ ] 'stretch marks' on son's back Well, since I've started talking, maybe I can ask another question of everyone....
