Guest guest
Hello everyone. I am really close to positive my youngest child has Lyme Disease. She has severe legs pains pretty frequently. That was the first thing I noticed. I have to rub her legs with aspercreme and soak her in a hot bath with epsom salts and even give motrin when it's bad enough. This year she started telling me about vision disturbances she's been having... she said somteimes things she's looking at get bigger and smaller and bigger and smaller. Then she said sometimes things spin. I took her to a neurologist who sent her to an optomologist who said she had " Alice In Wonderland Syndrom " . Uh what the heack is that? She's also had tingling in her arms and legs and ringing in her ears. Her personality has also completely and totally changed this year...she's 8 so it's not puberty. She went from being a completely happy all the time, afraid of nothing, love everybody child to a kid who has frequent nightmares, anxiety, depression, anger, and trouble with schoolwork. Does this sound like it could be Lyme? What kind of Doctor do I go to to get her tested? I call my pediatrician for a referal a week ago and have heard nothing back. If it is Lyme, it's obviously bee around for a while...the leg pains for sure have been a year or more...what would that mean treatment wise? Thanks so much for any help I am so concerned about this and I know NOTHING about Lyme.
