Thanks Lou for your insight with the magnets, I'm glad it may be doing the trick

for you.  I recall experiencing that glut. type pain in Dec. 2009 and I couldn't

even roll over in my bed.  It certainly was not fun.

What I'm looking for is a really good pain doc for a severly ill IL patient with

Lyme that hasn't received enough treatment to scratch the surface or is making

any effort at all to say the least.  She feels that she can't do any treatment

because she has so much nervous system pain she just doesn't want to go forward

and do anything for herself.  She is also suicidal.

I do believe her pain is very difficult, nervous system pain is like a pain that

is very difficult to describe; I had my share but I don't think it was to her

extent and on a daily basis.  She has already tried Duragesic patches, Morphine,

antianxieities, and eats hydrocodone like candy and it really doesn't help her

anymore. It doesn't even take the edge off.  I know that pain meds. for many in

severe pain often need to be changed up quite a bit because you develop a

resistance to them.  The best description of this type of pain I can come up

with based on my own experience is having your body tortured by being dunked in

chemical acid or a burn victim with burns over their entire body.  I wonder what

pain meds. they give to a burn victim and what type of doc is reputable to refer

her to that won't give her another diagnosis of something else she has to take

care of the know Lyme, coinfections, and multiple viral load she has and uncover

other compromised systems and treat as necessary as she moves through

treatment.  Getting her started has been very difficult and this is my last

ditch effort to help her as I've exhausted myself and am dealing with this

disease too as are both my children andmy husband.  I certainly can't make her

do anything, it's up to her.  Personally if she wants to focus on the pain first

maybe she should just walk into a pain management clinic and see what they have

to offer.  I've never been to one.     Any thoughts?
