Guest guest
Hi : I can only tell you my own experience. I developed extreme pain in my left buttock, the glutues maximus (sp?), deep inside that muscle. When the muscle would cramp, it was unendurable. The sciatic nerve got " squeezed " (according to my chiropractor) and then the terrible ache would radiate down my thigh, to the calf, and sometimes to the heel. So it was constant ache, punctuated by horrible stabs of pain. Aspirin didn't touch it. Heat didn't help. Massage made it worse. Finally I found the only thing that helped at all was magnets. I wore biking shorts over my panties and stuck down in the back between them a couple of pads sewn with little magnets (like refrigerator magnets.) There are about a dozen on each pad. I placed these right over the butt muscle and wore them day and night sometimes. The pain diminished. Then the pain would suddenly shut off, just like that. I would take off the magnets. Then in another day perhaps the pain would start up again, and I'd put the magnets back on. Right now (about 2 months into this) the pain is gone (I'm doing other treatments, i.e. drinking colloidal silver, so I don't know exactly what is doing what). Anyway, magnets are certainly worth a try. That pain is pure hell. Good luck. LOU > > Does anyone happen to know of a real reputable pain management doc, that might even know a bit about Lyme in the WI or IL area? I am trying to help a friend and she needs serious help with central nervous system pain. I know it is extremely difficult to manage, but there must be someone out there. You can send me a private email if you know of anyone, it would be greatly appreciated. Everyone of you in this group is wonderful and I wouldn't have come along this far without you. So, it doesn't hurt to ask? I will start researching a bit and see if I have any luck I can share with any of you. > > >
