Newly diagnosed Lyme disease

Hello group,

I was recently diagnosed with lymes after having severe joint pain and was put

on antobibics, however I have many questions such as will the pills work or will

I just continue to be in pain and are there any new treatment to help cure this

disease. I also suffer from failed back surgery and have perm nerve damage to

boot. My Dr's response was that I have to realize I cannot blame all my pains on

lymes and lets just see how the antibiotcs work.

I live on long Island and was exposed to ticks last spring in both a local park

and found a tick on my neck while visiting Virginia Last summer. Sorry for the

long post. Any sound advice would really be helpful.
