Guest guest
Thanks for your input!! I do have elevated liver levels right now; but have also had kidney stomes. I will keep an eye on it!!! Thanks again!
Guest guest
, You should have your urine checked anyway. But dark urine can be a symptomn of elevated liver levels. I had that, but then more recently I had blood in the urine from a kidney stone. So that's why you should see a doctor, it could be several things. Guest guest
Hi , I did some searching and it appears that NSAIDs (non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) are often one of the causes of hematuria, blood in the urine. It can also be from many other things. Sometimes the cause is never defined. When you say that has been treated for it, how do you mean? Urinary tract infections can be related, so maybe she was treated for one of those? Also, a higher output of urinary acid and higher than normal excretions of calcium in the urine have been found to be associated with hematuria. Have they tested Jen's urine for this and found this to be true? Anyway, since I don't know much about the specifics I'll go ahead and post the best, most comprehensive article I was able to find (maybe others, as well) and at the very least, it should help you come up with more specific questions to talk with your doctor about. Take Care, Georgina ----- Original Message ----- From: tim chesney I was wondering if anyone has experience this.My daughter Jen age 8. I think you might find it on curezone.com, or you can go to her web site, Dr. Hulda . Org, and find the cleanse. (or I could e-mail it to you if you can't find it) I did it, and I painlessly passed a few kidney stones. I watched my dad go through surgery, and be hospitalized for 6 weeks on morphine when I was a kid trying to pass stones, so passing ones of the size that I did, and painlessly, made the cleanse worth it. Might help you if you have kidney issues! Good luck, Hanida

Guest guest
The source could possibly be your prostate... running may massage the prostate and push the blood out into the urinary tract. I had a similar problem diagnosed as a prostate infection and my urologist kept treating it with antibiotics. It kept coming back, and a couple doctors later and a few years later, another urologist put me on Flomax, which relieved some of the referred pain and decreased the frequency of blood, but it made me dizzy. A year later my new regular doctor suggested the herb Saw Palmetto, which within a couple of months relieved all my symptoms including the various referred pains, without any side effects. And no blood, for nearly two years now. I think it is good for the general health of the prostate and allows it to shrink to a more normal size. This may or may not be the source of your problem, but I thought I'd throw it out there as a possibility. > > Hi, > > When I go running, the next time I pee there is blood in my urine. Guest guest
Hi , Lucy occasionally has blood in her urine (gross hematuria it's called when you can see it). It's frustrating. No one knows why. No one can tell me if it's medicine related or jra related The ped says its benign, and the rheumy says not to worry, but the only other moms that I know of who ask about blood in the urine are jra moms. Curious. Amy and Lucy, 7, poly Blood in Urine Question for the collective wisdom out there ... Any of your kids have blood in their urine at any time? I just came home from an ER trip that left me clueless. My son told me this morning that he had blood in his urine. We were sent to the ER by the on-call doctor. Thankfully they could find no abnormalities and ruled out the " big concerns " as they put it and also found no infections. Basically, urology said they couldn't come up with a reason for it to be occurring. We are headed to the pediatrician on Monday morning but was wondering if anyone here has heard of arthritis being associated with inflamation in the urinary tract. He is only 10 and it just breaks my heart to see tears come down his face as he says " I just wish I was like a normal kid for once. " Yeah, me too. Guest guest
Hi , My girl, who is 9, has had gross hematuria off and on for 3 weeks now. Even when it has not been visible, she has had what the lab classified as " large " amounts. After consult between our ped and our ped rheumy, she is scheduled to see a nephrologists at our University Hospital next week. It is interesting to me that it seems that a number of kids with JRA have this but I have not found any connection in the research I have done. I feel for you having to hear your little guy say " I just wish I was like a normal kid for once " .. often says " why does all the bad stuff happen to me " . Guest guest
Lucy has lost 5 lbs. in the last six months, and she started out at 52 lbs. so yes it's worrisome. She is still so young (just turned 7) that she doesn't realize that she's different or that there's something " wrong " with her (hate to say that). So she hasn't complained about jra. But she did ask me to pay that it didn't get any worse. :-( Amy and Lucy 7, poly Blood in Urine Question for the collective wisdom out there ... Guest guest
Our rheumy told us that many kids with arthritis have blood in their urine occasionally and it is seen in kids with arthritis. There is also a disease sometimes associated with immune-system disease called IgA nephropathy. Any child with persistent gross hematuria, especially if there is protein in the urine as well, needs to see a pediatric nephrologist. We went thru this with our son. and Rob 19 JAS Blood in Urine > Question for the collective wisdom out there ... Guest guest
Hi , Hi , I've had Lyme for 14 years and have had some bladder problems during those years. However, last May I was peeing blood and blood clots. It happened twice within about a 2 to 3 week time frame, each incident lasting 2 to 3 days. I had no pain and no signs of infection so I thought that I might be passing kidney or bladder stones. My doctor ordered a CT scan and no stones were found. It's good that your husband is having tests done but if the results turn out to be negative I wouldn't be alarmed. See, Lyme LOVES the bladder and causes irritation and inflammations which can cause blood to show up in the urine - sometimes just microscopic but sometimes very visible, and sometimes you'll even have clots. Good luck and hang in there! Patty Blood in urine Posted by: " Klavonski " K@... lklavonski Wed Feb 9, 2011 1:16 pm (PST) Hi everyone, My husband, who has had Lyme for about 3 years and under treatment for 1year, had some blood in his urine yesterday. He could actually see the blood when he began urinating yesterday morning. He had no bladder or lower back (kidney) pain. He has been taking Doxy and Biaxin for about 6 weeks (third ABX protocol) and he is on a slue of supplements and probiotics. He started the BWP last week (A-Bart and A-L). He called his LLMD who told him to see his GP. The GP did a urinalysis, and at the time (about 2:30 pm), did not see any more blood. My husband is having some blood work done this morning. Has anyone experienced this? If so, please share and tell me what this might be. The doctor told him not to worry, but of course, I am very worried.
