In response to your question re: IgeneX, The tests must be ordered and signed by

a doctor, using the IgeneX form. In my daughter's case, she was seeing a

chiropractor/naturopath who was very helpful in getting the test ordered. I

think he asked IgeneX to send the forms, because they arrived at his office

along with the box to send the tubes of blood back to IgeneX.

By the looks of the website now, it appears you can print off the patient

request forms and have a doctor order the tests needed. You can go to your

local lab to have the blood drawn. They must follow the specific instructions

on the form. Your local lab will mail the tubes of blood to Igenex. You'll

have to have the blood drawn and sent on the day of the week specified on the

form. IgeneX will discard the blood if it arrives too late in the week for

accurate testing.

Do you have a doctor willing to take the time to read the information on the

IgeneX website and order the proper test? One who will do an antibiotic

challenge before testing to ensure a more accurate result? If not, search until

you do!

I hope this info has been helpful. The IgeneX website is a great place to go

for lots of information. You can email them with questions. When my daughter's

test came back positive, I called them and was able to speak to the CEO, Dr.

. Talk about personal touch!

With the Igenex test you have to pay upfront....then they will send you a

receipt that you can send into your insurance company - along with the receipt

and papers with coding that Igenex sent to for my insurance comp I also wrote on

a paper that I wanted them to consider this lab to be in nexwork because it is a

specialty lab and no other in nexwork lab offered these specific testing.  Just

found out my insurance comp is going to reimburse me 100%.......it is very

expensive but well with it!!

Also, when my daughter had her labs done at a hospital they wouldn't send in the

blood samples with the payment - they didn't want to be responsible for it - so

we took it right over to a fex ex place on our own......fyi - with the blood

tubes that Igenex sends they also have a overnight bag that comes with it - paid

by igenex so you do not have to pay the overnight shipping....I liked that.
