I wonder if it is related to the bovine origin. But not all acidophilous must be produced that way. I have horrible reaction to cow milk proteins, and my brand doesn't give me any problems. Is this because it is not of bovine origin? Is it that the acidophilous, bovine or whatever, has nothing to do with cow milk proteins? Any further info? Judith " ---------- I believe that we should only take human strains acidophilus because these kind is the only one capable of colonizing human gut. Bovine origin does not have this ability. This information is contained in several books of colon health and does make a lot of sense to me, regardless, if bovine acidophilus does have or not bovine proteins.Bovine origin acidophilus are not capable of colonizing the gut and therefore stays there only for a short period so that the result is partial.
