Guest guest
Hi, I'm curious how you get this 'diflucan' when you want it. It's an rx and my allergist took me off it pronto when my liverwork showed elevated enzymes. Of course, I had the bloodword done after 1 DAY on it so I don't think it was the diflucan. However, she had no choice: it would be malpractice to keep me on it. I then went on oral Nystatin, a wimpier anti-fungal (I have systemic candida) but my liver enzymes are still elevated so I'm waiting to be taken off that. O misery. ( " Natural " anti-fungals do nothing for me. I have taken and continue to take them, in rotation, of course. Neither does a diet completely free of sugar and refined carbs. I injured my gut with 20 years of anti-biotics and huge doses of aspirin and tylenol, so the yeast and then fungus got the upper hand. I am sensitive to most foods and so even most of the foods on a so-called 'anti-candida' diet are off-limits.) and my mother is dying of cancer. I'm the care-giver and I'm stressed beyond max. I see no point to my life except that to die would be hard on my mother and unfair to my mate and daughter. I saw a psychiatrist this morning on an URGENT referral from my allergist, and he said psychiatrists are extremely busy, and I should be concerned with living not dying, and get my liver checked. FWIW I find that Nystatin give me cramps and diahhrea, whereas Difflucan had no side effects. I wish I could have stayed on it. Maybe one day my liver will be happy again and I'll be able to deal with this fungal overgrowth?
