What strain do you have? I have Candida Glabrata or something like that. I

just finished taking 2 months of 3 antifungals combined(diflucan, nystatin,

and fungizone). Now that I have been off them for a few days, I am much

worse. Its so frustrating! I've been doing the diet as well for two

months. I feel like I've gotten nowhere. The antifungals were very

helpful, but now that I am off them I'm not sure what to do to make myself

feel better.

It's a real gamble to take Nizoral because of potential liver damage.

We already have liver problems because of the candida and other

complications. You can even get juandice.

I was just on it for awhile and it really helped. But I got it in

Mexico so when I tried to get it from a dermatologist he warned me of

how dangerous it is and wouldn't prescribe it.

Just curious: Did you go to a naturopath to find out what kind of

strain, etc or a traditional MD? And if you're in the US how much do

they charge? I've pretty much been treating this on my own because

most drs are anything but cooperative. But my insurance won't pay for

the naturopaths so would like to have an idea what I'll have to

spend---also for the tests and lab work.

Thanx,

Diane
