Guest guest
I am so envious! I just had my 4th fill since my surgery today. I am hopeful I will begin to love my band too! Guest guest
This sounds great! But please take some time to review the document in the files called " What is a good fill? " (ie not too much). It's up to US to know the definition of a good fill, and never keep one. The docs will give us a random fill and send us home, almost always without any guidelines. We think that whatever they give us must be right, when it can be VERY wrong and even very dangerous. Many people, especially after taking a long time to get to a good fill, think that a good fill means not being able to eat, or able to eat only a half-cup of food, etc. They gladly put up with this, or reflux, or any of the other serious danger signs, thinking that they will finally start to lose weight. The #1 reason for all band problems is trying to keep a too-tight fill. It just is NOT worth it, as a great many here will tell you. PLEASE don't be one of these who endangers their band. This ALWAYS backfires, and one ends up damaging their esophagus or stomach, or worse, getting a dilation or slip, needing complete unfills and then another slow start, or even losing their bands altogether. Further, one won't even lose good weight! Whatever is lost issimply from dehydration or starvation and comes right back again. I hope this fill IS " just right " for you - Sandy r > > Thank you to everyone that wrote me and offered support. It has been one week > since my last fill and I am still feeling restriction!
