hi 2moons... that is soo hard. My two teenage daughters have had a very bad flu/bronchitis this last week. They've been sooo sick with fevers.. and then now the bronchial problems.

Because we homeschool I've been able to have them home every day - and also we are very concerned about possible pneumonia.

We make our own tinctures... and we make one with echinacea, mullein, and plantain that is very powerful. We also use a fair amount of goldenseal... The 'biggie' is REST... and that is what is so hard for most people.. they have to go to work,,, and 'do' things - and are not usually able to be free to heal all the way.

Was this your circumstance?? I know how you feel so much. Once because of a tooth infection - had to go on antibiotics and the whole time there was this terrible " reality therapy " going on in my mind of exactly what was 'going on inside my body'!!! it was a horrid feeling...

On Antibiotics...UGH

Hi All,

I just decided to whine...I had no choice but to go on antibiotics as of yesterday. I feel like all of my hard work is wasted now. I had to get on them otherwise I could develop pneumonia.

Now what???? I feel like I am going backwards ...UGH. Any input on what I can do not to backtrack?? I am sticking to my diet...at least that is the encouraging news...LOL

Thanks for letting me vent.

try juicing 2 garlic cloves, an apple, 3 carrots, 2 celery stalks, a handful

of parsley and fresh ginger twice a day....it really works as well as

antibiotics but takes a little longer.

Hi Moons!

Make absolutely sure you're taking acidophilus, to add more 'friendly' bacteria

back into your

system. As you may know, antibiotics kill both the good and the bad, so by

taking acidophilus

you can hopefully somewhat counteract the damaged done to the friendly gut

flora. I take it in

the morning on an empty stomach, but my husband who is the candida sufferer

takes it both in

the morning and at night before he goes to bed.

Echinacea tinture is also very good, as it is an immune booster. You can buy a

glycerin based

tinture in you local HF store...it's a lil more expensive, but worth it.

I find hot water with lemon and stevia quite soothing when I'm under the

weather, also...just

squeeze half a lemon (organic is best) in some boiled water and add a few drops

of stevia

extract (the non alcoholic kind, of course) - to taste. According to Marie

( " Complete

Candida Yeast Guidebook " ) lemon juice is " ...a potent antibacterial, cleansing

and healing

food... " But she says in order to reap full benefit you must take it full

strength in the morning on

an empty stomach, but don't leave the juice in your mouth for too long, 'cause

it'll strip the

enamel off you teeth! She also says you can have only water after and don't eat

for 15 minutes

minimum after taking the full strength lemon juice.

Hope this helps!

Sincerely,

Kyla :o)

that's right - if it wsn't for colloidal silver in our family too - i'm sure there would have been antibiotics too.

We use it for absolutely EVERYTHING... spray it on a burn - on all sorts of things - or take it internally too - it really is incredible.

Re: On Antibiotics...UGH

Haven't you guys heard of Colloidal Silver> You don't just use it for Candida. Its is fantastic for infections. My youngest is nearly three years old, and is immune suppressed, and has never had antibiotics. She has had some pretty nasty infections, but all cleared up in 24hours with CS. Its great stuff. (Don't worry, I am not selling you any!)

Love . p.s. My other two kids don't get antibiotics either. I had to have abx last Winter when I was stupid enough to take pills for a cold to dry me up. The result - a sinus infection. I had NEVER had one till then, and have not had one since. I have heard of other people getting sinus infections using Coldrex and the like. AVOID them. They only make matters worse.
