Guest guest
I know it is difficult, but it is doable! You can beat this with some sacrifice. At the end of it you'll be glad you stuck to the carb free diet. I was also shocked to find out that some vegetables are carbohydrates, the same as with all grains and dairy products. The lower the carb count the better for us. The vegetables that contain high count of carbs are, potato, corn, green peas, carrots and beets. All grains, including whole wheat will have high carbs. All meats are acceptable and all green vegetables, plus tomatoes and the pumpkin family. The lower the carbs the less you'll be feeding the candida, the less it will grow and the easier it will be to get rid of it. Keep up the good work! - A Newbie Diet Question For Candiasis Need More Advise Hi, I just got blood test results back and they said I dont have it in my blood and my blood count is normal. I guess that means its not systemic. My Dr. trys to act like he knows about this stuff but I dont think he does. He never mentioned diet. He just says hmmm. I know the stuff has died off in me twice because after 3 days of taking the medicine (diflucan & nyststin) I get real sick for 24 hours or less. It is a resistant case because diflucan alone wont touch it. The Candidias starts in my mouth (started from a steroid inhaler /no longer use) then goes in my eye, my ear and esophagus. Right now I have very few if any symptoms. I have been going through this for 3 months. Every time I quit the medicine it comes back. I am prepared to eat whatever I need to eat. I just dont know what it is. There is so much information it is mind boggling. I am 47 years old and have never been on a diet because I have a very high metabolism. I am 5' 8 " tall and never weighed much over 165. I have never really been sick till 1 year ago when I got the lung disease from working with asbestos and silica for 30 years. I must admit I now know I have been lucky for all these years. I have eaten like a PIG all my life. I have used 4-5 tablespoons of sugar with vanilla flavored cream in a mug of coffee for years and at least 2-3 20 oz. bottles of coke a day. With cerial I dont use a spoon for my sugar. I go right for the cannister and use the scoop and pile it up. mmmmmmmboy! Writing this down it really sounds stupid. Unfortunately true though. So if I stop sugar now its ok. I have already consumed more than most do thier entire life. This is what I have so far thanks to a great guy from England. Hamburger is fine. All vegetables are fine. Wholewheat bread only Are carbohydrates OK?? I am so scared of it coming back I have only eaten red meat with water for a few days. I dont want to eat the wrong thing. Canned veggies have carbohydrates are they ok? Can I have milk?? How about unsweetened cold cerial? It all has a little sugar (1-2 grams). I ate some pretzels the other night befor I realized they had sugar too. It seems like everything has sugar. Sorry for the long post. Its just that I only have a couple days of the medicine left and I could really use a litte help right now. Just meat and water gets tired REAL fast but is better than the yeast. Thanks Again Guys! Guest guest
Ken Read the labels BEFORE you put anything in your mouth. EAT FRESH VEG NOT CANNED. Fresh veg never has refined sugar added to it! Lee
