Guest guest
I'm reading posts from several days ago and thought that I'd send a note. Our manager at the guest house quit last Monday. She let me know at 10:30 AM that it was her last day. When I came in Tuesday morning, all of their possessions were cleaned out and I guess that they have moved on. The manager's husband, Erwan, left their beagle in a rental car when he went into get some groceries. Someone called the police and they broke into the car and rescued the poor animal. The vet said that the dog would have died if it had been in the car for just a few more minutes. He was STUPID and I think that the two of them shouldn't have a pet and should never have children. Anyway, Erwan went to court and the judge charged him $900 and community service for 4 months plus $45 per month. Erwan was supposed to pay the money on August 1 and begin community service work on the same day. The couple left July 31....so, I think that was the reason. So, that puts me and Jim back at the guest house. We're both exhausted as we live 30 minutes away from the B & B and this is a very busy time. The vioxx 50 continues to work for me well or I wouldn't be able to go into the guesthouse to work at all. For the newby, getting off the prednisone is horrible. And the pain that I had a year ago was mainly from getting off of the prednisone gradually. I had been up to 40 per day and had to go off gradually....and it was very painful. We still have buyers for the B & B...but, now there's a possibility that we might have to put in a sprinkler system before we sell...$45,0000...so we may NEVER sell because we don't have $45,000 and certainly don't have any idea as to where to get it. So, here we are back into another STRESSFUL situation. Guess that's how life is. I see Jim 1 hour per day...as we take turns working at the guest house. He goes in the morning and I go in about 2 or 3 pm and work until midnight. It's good that this didn't happen a year ago..or Jim would be there everyday and I wouldn't even be able to go in at all. The arava and mtx and changing my diet and vioxx 50 are keeping me in pretty good shape at the moment. My doctor is still trying to get the insurance company to approve me for enbrel. Has anyone switched from arava to enbrel and seen a big difference? As I have to take 8 mtx a week with my arava, the doctor thinks that I'll be able to lower the mtx when I get on enbrel. Happy belated birthday, a. Later, Delaine Key West, FL
