Hi All,

I just received my cdsa results from great smokies. I have Candida

albicans 2+, candida krusei 2+, and Cryptococcus neaformans 4+. My

doctor just put me on Sporanox to get rid of these bad bugs. They

showed resistance to nystatin and i've never taken that or any other

prescription antifungals ever. I was on antibiotics for over a year

for acne.

Does anyone know how long I should take the Sporonax?? Does it

usually take several months to clear these fungal infections? I'm on

a strict diet and taking Primal Defense as well as another good

probiotic and other supplements as well.

Thanks

I have been on Sporanox for quite some time as I have been slow to

respond---had taken it previously also. But I have been able to reduce

it significantly without a return of symptoms. How high of a dose are

you on??? I started on 400 mg. a day. Jean

,

My name is Annette. I haven't been active on here lately as today was the

FIRST day in MONTHS that I received an email from the list (anyone else on

here have that happen to them?). Anyway, I had a 4+ on candida, and have

been taking sporanox (2-100 mg pills at night). When I see my dr. in March,

it will have been 3 months since I started the medication. Prior to taking

the sporanox my dr. ordered a liver detox test as well. I'm on so many

supplements I can't list them all, but for my liver I'm taking NAC. I'm

sure onmy next visit she will want to do another stool test. BTW, I've also

had an EFA test and tons of bloodtests and a couple of saliva tests. If you

want info on any of these please ask :D

Hi

I'm on 200 mg daily of the Sporanox and have already noticed some

mild improvement in gut symtoms. I've been on it four days now. My

doctor has initially only given me 10 days worth. I think he wants a

liver panel after this before he'll prescribe more. . Have you been

on it continously or has your doctor been pulsing the dose due to the

potential for liver damage? I understand it can be quite toxic to

the liver for prolonged periods. I would appreciate any other

feedback concerning dosage and length of dosage from you or anyone

else that has been on this drug. I'm not sure how long I need to be

on it for a 4+ fungal overgrowth.

Kind regards,
