Guest guest
, also make sure you're drinking LOTS of water along with taking the Yeast Fighters! I was thinking a green tea supplement may also help, as it is very cleansing to the blood. My personal choice is the Nature's Way green tea extract, as it also combines red clover, an additional blood cleanser. All my candida symptoms multiplied by 10 ! Blechh ! Luckily I felt MUCh better the next morning and could work ! Guest guest
Forgot to mention, I'm supposed to take these for another couple of months yet, so I hope they don't lose their effectiveness over that time period. I'm also supposed to take chlorella for a few months, because sometimes the tongue coating can just be a sign of toxicity that needs to be cleared (toxins being produced by die-off, and being released from other body organs as I go through 'detoxification')... Apparently a tongue coating can appear while you are fasting, and then it disappears again (when it disappears, it's time to stop the fast). Anyway, the chlorella is supposed to get me through the detox period. Is anyone else trying chlorella as an adjunct to their treatment? Guest guest
Ali, Yes I finished a large bottle about a month ago, but didn't realise that it was more beneficial to be on it for a few months. Thanks, I will purchase more. I am still detoxing & still have the coated tongue however my symptoms have improved alot. Guest guest
It's important to remember that herbs and vitamins can take up to 3 months before they take their full effect through building up in the system. It's recommended that you experiment with supplements for a few months each! This surprised me, but I can see the sense in it. Unless of course, you don't experience any initial die-off - then I would say try something else until you find something that gives you die-off, then at least you know it's working! So does that mean that I still have a Candida over growth if I took 5 and it knocked me off my feet??? ( My chronic fatigue and brain fog have been so much better since doing that M' Lis 30-day program, but I still feel that I should have more energy and at least a little more brain power. Guest guest
Well, I'd already been doing anti-candida stuff for a few months before I started the Yeast Fighters - so my symptoms were already reduced. I'm still not 100% energetic and I still have a tongue coating, so I asked the woman at the health shop what I could do about it - she's a registered nurse and has also suffered with candida herself, and she recommended the Yeast Fighters to me. Because my symptoms were already drastically reduced, she told me to start off taking 8, to really knock the remaining candida on the head. However, I thought it was safer to start with the recommended 5, or maybe 6 and work my way up. I think I started with 6, and got some uncomfortable (but bearable) die-off. I've been working my way up, and I'm getting zero to mild die-off at 8 capsules. It all depends on the individual, and I know that I had already conquered most of the yeast. The die-off you're getting is at least letting you know that the capsules are working! You're moving ahead, and that can only be a good thing. Ali >HOLEY MOLEY!!!!!!!!!! OMG! You took eight???? Guest guest
Absolutely, ! These capsules are very strong. Have you tried reducing the dose, and gradually working your way up to the recommended 5? If I got such a strong reaction as you, I would start off with 2, then take three the next day. Take three for a few days, then work up to 4 and then 5. That way you minimise the discomfort of the die-off. Ali >So that intense sick feeling was the dieing off and is a good thing? Guest guest
Hi Ali, I don't use chlorella but I do have liquid chorophyll that I can drink in water, add to my shakes or whatever. It is very cleansing and helps to alkalize. I think if it as our beef and such used to be good for us when they were grass-fed. Then, the owners got greedy, started feeding them grains and giving them hormones to promote faster and larger growth, thereby multipying their profits. Beef and all other species like that were healthy and good for us until our science and greed got in the way of how to let them live. > Forgot to mention, I'm supposed to take these for another couple of months > yet, so I hope they don't lose their effectiveness over that time period. > > I'm also supposed to take chlorella for a few months, because sometimes the > tongue coating can just be a sign of toxicity that needs to be cleared > (toxins being produced by die-off, and being released from other body > organs as I go through 'detoxification')... Guest guest
Ali, That's very interesting! So the more the Candida dies off the more Yeast Fighters that I will have to take? How do I know when it's finally ALL GONE? I've never felt good or had energy, my entire life so maybe I don't know what NOT having Candida feels like... Guest guest
Well, I just take extra because I like to feel the die off and know that it's working. Plus the lady who told me to take 8 said so, so that I can kick my remaining candida in the A** !!! I think we know it's all gone when: 1. There is no die-off, AND switching to another antifungal does not produce a new wave of die-off. 2. Your tongue is clear 3. Gastrointestinal problems/irregularities have gone away 4. You feel GREAT!!! Ali At 08:36 a.m. 15/12/2002 -0800, you wrote: >Ali, >That's very interesting! So the more the Candida dies off the more Yeast >Fighters that I will have to take? Guest guest
Ali, I'm going to be going on yeast fighters very soon. What sort of specific food do you eat. I mean, I know about avoiding sugars and such but the little details bog me down. It would be REALLY helpful to me if you shared your shopping list. Guest guest
Hi , Basically I eat most vegetables, but not brown-skinned potatoes, and I don't eat beans very often. I eat bananas and apples, but haven't added any other fruits yet. Also, plain unsweetened acidophilus yoghurt to which I add sliced almonds, sesame seeds, and you could also add carob chips to this. I just haven't gotten around to buying any carob chips yet. I sweeten with Stevia, and I eat the Stevia Afghans which you can buy from http://www.eatrightfoods.co.nz They have dates in them (not many though), so be aware of this if you're not ready for dried fruits. I bake muffins with flour that isn't white flour - just surf the net for recipes that sound ok to you! Search " candida recipes " and you should get some results. I use oat flour, rice flour, and spelt when I'm baking. Rice cakes with butter are nice, if you have a liking for bland foods (which I sometimes do). I also eat chicken and fish. Also brown rice and wholemeal pasta. During the early stages of my diet, and at other times, I have resorted to the " well-heated and eaten hot " rule. That is, melted cheese on toast, melted cheese on oven-baked red-skinned chips, cheese, onion and tomato toasties, you get the picture!!! I learned afterwards that you're not really supposed to do this, but it didn't seem to hinder my progress so I still do it every now and then. Toasting is supposed to kill the yeast in the bread, and I'm not sure of the reason why melted hot cheese is considered ok by some. I read about someone who was totally cured and they had eaten a LOT of toasted cheese sandwiches during their recovery. So maybe it's something that works ok for some, but not for everyone. That's all I can think of right now! I hope this helps! Ali At 07:44 p.m. 15/12/2002 +0000, you wrote: >Ali, > >I'm going to be going on yeast fighters very soon. Guest guest
I take mine on an empty stomach, because I know this way it will REALLY get to the candida in my colon. If you take it with food, it should enter your bloodstream and get to the candida that may be there (and hiding in your other organs). I think that the usual thing is to take antifungals on an empty stomach for a while, and then start to take them with food when the colon candida has been dealt with. I'm not completely sure of the time period for this though - anyone got some further input?
