Guest guest
I've been hiking and camping in Yosemite! And I met my NSV of hiking to the top of Half Dome! Not without a few problems - slipped and dislocated a thumb on the way up, re-located with great difficulty and no medication by a doc with us -ow! ow! OWWWWW! -but I made it! Very meaningful for me, becuase I was not able to make it twice before when I was heavy, and have not tried since I reached goal weight 18 mo ago. Had a great time, hand in a cast, but feeling fine with a bit of pain meds - lalalala... Guest guest
Hi Sandy, Glad you are back. Sorry to be posting this so late, but I just returned from CA on Monday. I just wanted to tell you what an inspiration you are. I have been to Yosemite twice and could only " look up " and wish that I could make it to the top...of any mountain. I have numerous stories of starting out on a hike only to find my self out of breath and in tears because I knew it was impossible. One of my dreams is to wear shorts and hiking boots and accomplish a " real " hike someday. For now I am very content with the ability to finally to be able to climb a set of stairs without feeling like I'm having a heart attack. The good thing is that I'm starting to believe that losing this weight and staying alive will really happen. For so many years I've doubted that I would ever make it. With God's help and the inspiration of people like you....the dream will come true. thanks again. Maybe El Capitan next??? > > Hey girl, where you been lately;-) Started to think you were off > > " fishing " again;-) Glad your back.. > > > > Kem in Eugene > > 286/235/170 > > Dr. Neal 8.6.04 > > <º)))>< > > > >
