Guest guest
Hello , Perhaps try eating some over-easy eggs or scrambled eggs. If your belly hurts after eating them then you know the eggs, raw or cooked, are causing upset. If your belly feels fine, then it's the raw eggs. (Keep in mind, pouring boiling water into a blender of eggs will partially cook the eggs. Two hundred and twelve degrees is hot!) I'm not sure why eggs cause upset, but I've experienced the same thing both raw and cooked eggs. Then I'll take a break from them (eating a more lunch-like breakfast) and the eggs won't cause upset. Perhaps too many eggs is too many eggs... for some of us anyway. This group is great!
Guest guest
Wanting to change only one thing at a time, I made the egg drink for lunch this afternoon with less fat. (I used 1T butter and 1T coconut oil.) I tend to think that if you change too many things at once, you won't tend to know what worked if something ends up working. Well, my tummy is so gassy and REALLY painful, and I'm feeling really nauseated again. It came on quicker this time. I'm really thinking it's the raw eggs, and I don't know that poaching the eggs like Bee suggested yesterday would yield the same result. I'm feeling rather discouraged about this because the egg drink is a good way for me to get some calories in. (I've been struggling to get enough lately.) I may have no choice but to give it up. Any other ideas? in IN

I really suspsect it's the raw eggs, and I'm not sure how to deal with that. In the past, I've made the egg drink and then baked it in the oven (like a custard), and so maybe that's what I'll have to do as a way of getting some calories and coconut oil in me. I'm feeling mostly better now because I drank some peppermint tea. I'm sure you all can understand why I'm apprehensive about more experiments. in IN
Guest guest
Dear , Do you have enough stomach acid? See the Digestion Folder on how to test for stomach acid and what to do if your acid is low. Try that first, and if your stomach acid is not low, start with 1 teaspoon of coconut oil and 1 teaspoon of butter, and increase it 1 teaspoon every 4-5 days only. If that doesn't work try putting the eggs in the blender first and then add the boiling water and let it sit until the whites have turned opaque, and then add the fats and other ingredients. You may even have to cut back on the cinnamon because it is antifungal too; in fact there aren't many spices and herbs that aren't antifungal. Some are just stronger than others. ==>Read Bee's Personal Candida Story; my stomach was so bad that at one point in time I was losing 3 lbs. per day and I could only eat 9 foods in the whole world because everything else came back up, but oddly enough none of my supplements or digestive enzymes came back up. It's great to hear from you! I have the same problem with eggs occasionally, and I've heard of many people experiencing the same, but it is not consistent. I think it might be that your body uses the eggs to heal or cure something, which equals healing reactions. What about the guy who ate 25 boiled eggs per day, so it can't be the number of eggs. I've eaten 8 eggs per day and didn't experience that problem, and yet another day I'll have 3 eggs and I will have problems. How are you and your lovely family doing these days? > This group is great! ==>I agree!! Hugs, Bee
