Guest guest
Dear Mr. Dabney, Thank you for claryfying your true feelings and intentions. I offer you my sincere apologies for having misinterpreted them. I would also like to explain to you why I did so. Awhile ago, Earl Conroy provided some information about his products to the list and several listmembers. The flaws in human nature being what they are, this list became divided armed camps, and one faction thought that Earl was a fraud trying to sell useless " snake oil " for personal profit, and that a that it was never appropriate for anyone to ever use these lists as a place to try to sell any kind of products, without regard to their efficacy. The other faction had more of an open mind, and those individuals wanted information from Earl on his products. I belonged to the faction who wanted more information on his products. I ended up ordering and trying them myself, and I am a very satisfied customer. The ensuing flame war practically destroyed the list, and as the remaining list moderator of the hypothyroidonelist list, I am both protective of personal attacks on Earl Conroy, and trying to prevent any kind of reoccurance of such a bad situation on this list. Coincidentally, at the present time, on a different thyroid list of which I am only a subscriber and contributor, a similar situation has occurred. I had recommended Earl's products to someone on that list. Since there have been some cross-posting between the two lists, I was concerned that that situation may have spilled over to this list. I am not in a position to speak for or on behalf of Earl, so I was out of line by intimating that he has little regard for the CDC. I have no idea how he regards the CDC. Please accept my apology, and know that you are welcome to post to this list. I would also like to suggest that by searching the archives of the hypothyroidismonelist list, you will find many previously posted things on Earl Conroy's Thyrodine, etc., as well as a host of other valuable information. Sincerely, Ira M. Fine
Guest guest
Hello all, as I was the one who asked the question that prompted Earl Conroy's response, I just want to say that alternative medicine does work for some people but not all. I am very open minded about non traditional treatments and I am currently reading the website to learn more about thyrodine. I am thankful that I found a source of information. << Subj: Re: My apologies to you Date: 03/24/00 10:38:32 AM Central Standard Time From: iramfine@... Guest guest
Dear List: As a natural therapist or alternative doctor, I would suggest that alternative therapy " works " for almost all health problems. Emergency situations are obviously in the domain of conventional medicine. The track record of orthodox medicine is abysmal to say the least in non-emergency health situations. ER may be an exciting program and these ER physicians are certainly to be admired. But when it comes to thyroid dysfunction, arthritis, arteriosclerosis, hart pathology, cancer, orthodoxy, not only has nothing useful to offer, the therapy is generally more devastating than the disease.
