quick question for everyone

Hi to all,

Has anyone experienced a sense of disconnection, sort of unreal,

almost like if you took heavy duty pain killers but you didn't? This

happens to me almost every day from about 8am - 1:30pm. It's usually

connected w/ vertigo, inability to concentrate, and sort of blurry

vision, like the lights are too bright. Then it just goes away.

I've been unable to connect it with anything in my diet, exercise or

lifestyle. I was on Synthroid, added Cytomel and was getting a

little too much, it's gotten worse since. I only stopped the

Synthroid day before yesterday so I'm wondering if it's that I was

getting too much Synthroid all along, added T3 to make it worse, and

now it's just a matter of it getting better? (My TSH on just the

Synthroid was .7, not super low but not high either). I experienced

similar sensations when I was overmedicated and when I went through

thyroid storm years ago, so I wonder if there's a connection. Of

course, it could be unrelated. I thought it was a blood sugar thing

but eating has no effect.

Ideas anyone please...?

Did you stop the synthroid with your doctor permission? Sometime you

need to stop it slowly over the course of a week, taking 1/2 for a

few days and then 1/2 every other day. Most of the time they don't

tell you that> trust me >>been there. I know I'm real sensitive to a

dose changed. I had thryoid cancer and have no thryoid at all now,

once I stopped 6 weeks before a scan and was put on cytomel. The

doctor made a mistake and gave me 4 times to much, first thing I

notice was I couldn't stop shaking. First big symptoms are heart

palpation and shaking. Hold your hands out in front of you for a few

minutes and see if you notice any shaking? If your getting to much

you will see it. Seems strange to only happen between 8-1pm. Do you

take it in the morning?> try breaking it in two and taking the other

1/2 at night. I tried to take thryoid medication at night, but it

never worked for me, I felt so wired and couldn't sleep. You may just

need more time to adjust to it. You may want to call your doctor and

see what he/she thinks. I'm kept on a high dose of synthroid now,

with a low TSH level, so the cancer won't return. Sometimes just a

change in the weather sends me to the doctor for a blood test. Since

winter times your less active, you may have to take a lower does, I

know I do. Hope that helps. ~CB

I had all this badly before being diagnosed.

Meds now on armour, things are MUCH better but still

have this a little. Nowhere near like before.

I still have a lot of symptoms, just not as bad

which is why we tried to up the dose a little

to see it all got well then but that counteracted

so I am just stuck right now.

Really? See, the only time I have problems like this are when I'm

being OVER medicated, and notw on the cytomel I'm getting headaches

too.
