Guest guest
Hi I also was extremely irritable and nervous, actually when I first started taking Armour thyroid I was so irritable but it stopped. Armour is the old fashioned medicine made from pig thyroid, has much more besides T4 in it. Many people like me think it is the best. I think the website is www.armourthyroid.com What medicine are you taking? Something I hope. Gracia > can someone explain to me what is armour i am new to thyroid disease!! > and everything about it. does anyone else stay extremeley nervouse > and irratable with a high tsh mine came back at 19.56 the first time > was 16.65 now its higher just found out 2 weeks ago that i am hypo > thanks all!!!!!please some feedback own this misprize@... > > > >
Guest guest
Armour seemed to helped clear my mind. But, I am still kind of shaky. If I take more, it makes me really shaky, jittery, etc... But, I still think it's an improvement over feeling like my brain was in a fog. Also, I'm not nearly as tired. But, on the other hand....I have a hard time getting to sleep. I still don't feel totally rested in the morning. But, it's better than it was. I was extrememly tired constantly before taking the Armour. Guest guest
I think you need other support like B vitamins, check adrenals and hormones, especially dhea and progesterone. How old are you? Guest guest
I'm 43 year old. But, one doctor told me that I don't need progesterones since I'm taking birth control pill. But...I did go ahead & get some of the progesterone cream at the health food store. And...it's NOT the Yam cream. It's the other stuff. I do take " Solgar " multi-vitamins, along with a cod liver oil supplement. Also, I take " Magonate " , a magnesium supplement. I don't really know what else to do. I do feel that I'm right on the edge of losing my mind. But....so far, I've been holding on. Gracia....any ideas?? Guest guest
Gee I have been where you are, it is so hard. I can really relate to just barely holding on. Do you have to take the bcp? If it has estrogen in it it may be interfering with thyroid hormone, and progestin in bcp is very poorly tolerated and no substitute for progesterone, which is cheap and can't be patented by drug companies. Did the hfs progesterone help? It is very low dose. I just read an interesting article about hormones and thyroid which I can send. I think dhea 10 mg helps too. I was very shaky when I first started Armour, especially in the afternoon. I knew I was better but then completely different symptoms I never had before would appear and then disappear. Also I need about 100mg of B vitamins. I take a multivitamin plus Tyler B complex. Gracia > I'm 43 year old.
