Guest guest
Gracia, I think you do not listen or pay attention well. I'm not a " T4-head " since I at least recognize that some hypthyroid conditions do require exogenous T3. I also recognize that some don't need it and that to administer it would be just plain wrong. If you were a doctor you would be just like all the rest of the doctors who operate on preconceived notions and don't really see or listen to their patients. Just prescribe some standard regime that could do harm (remember the Hippocratic Oath). You with your T3-only blinders on can be a danger to people! So unfortunately your diatribes are not even amusing. Furthermore, your remark about the way diabetics think is not only prejudicial, it is so vague it is just laughable. Do you have something against diabetics? Or were you just being thoughtless? Celeste Gracia wrote: > > Now THAT'S an opinion!! Broda docs really help people, because they > understand hormones. Guest guest
I give up. ----Original Message Follows---- From: " Gracia " <circe@...> Reply-hypothyroidism <hypothyroidism > Subject: Re: Diabetes/thyroid II Date: Thu, 27 Jun 2002 22:37:31 -0400 I am saying this based on my own personal experience plus info from Broda site. It's not semantics or an " opinion " . I am not looking at parts but whole systems, and the endocrine system is very pooorly understood. Just watch what happens in the next few years, as patients start to educate and treat themselves. Viva la Revolution. Gracia > Gracia, > all I'm saying is semantics here. Guest guest
I just notice that people on T4 alone have a certain way of thinking and interacting with people, and it's also true for diabetics. No I'm really not prejudiced towards diabetics! I just think outside the box. I come from a long line of very brilliant people and think I could be a brilliant doctor! I would definately be a Broda doc. I can't imagine how T3 could be dangerous. I am not really interested in combat however. so I give, you win. Guest guest
Gosh Gracia there's so many ways to respond to your pompous statements, but...... Your statements do not sound brilliant when you generalize and stereotype like crazy. Yes, there are some doctors who are unhelpful, but mine happens to be great, so there's an exception to every rule. Yeah, she has made mistakes, but she's human just like me. The point is that she's not malicious. You have this awful view of doctors and I think it's quite scary. I'm willing to bet that there's others on this group have trusting relationships with their doctors. In almost all of your response you make, you are automatically saying that someone needs T3 and their doctor is an ass and you could be a better one. Go to medical school then if you're so brilliant. Not everyone needs T3. I went on the smallest possible dose of 5 mg. (with my range being in the low-mid quadrant) and I was a nervous wreck with heart palpitations. Also, could you further explain the other stereotype that you have made - how do diabetics think?? Are you a diabetic? I would never pose to know how someone thinks even if they have the same disease as I do, no matter one I've never experienced. ----Original Message Follows---- From: " Gracia " <circe@...> Reply-hypothyroidism <hypothyroidism > Subject: Re: Re: Diabetes/thyroid II Date: Fri, 28 Jun 2002 21:53:45 -0400 I just notice that people on T4 alone have a certain way of thinking and interacting with people, and it's also true for diabetics.
