Guest guest
I was wondering if your advice to avoid foods containing iodine is general advice or just for those with an overactive thyroid? Jan (who loves seaweed)

It is general advice for anyone because iodine is only required in trace amounts by the body. Getting too much is damaging to the thyroid, overstimulating it, and causing it to act erratically. You would get enough iodine from butter and ocean sea salt. Cheers, Bee
