We have a water softener in our house which we fill with salt because of iron in the water. Also, what are your feelings on bottled water? ==>You do know that drinking softened water is not okay, right? Some bottled waters are very good; you have to know what to look for. If you get reverse osmosis water (or get a filter) it does remove all of the important things, i.e. chlorine, fluoride, parasites, etc. but it is totally devoid of minerals, so you should add it to the water for cooking and drinking, or everyone in the family needs to take 1 1/2 tsp. of ocean sea salt per day, without fail. In Sally Fallon's cookbook Nourishing Traditions she recommends a certain company's minerals to add to the water, but I do not have the book right now to tell you. ==>If you were to drink your water accummulations of iron can occur in your body, which is very damaging.
