Guest guest
I`m sorry, it`s just that when I read your post...the word clicked something about leukemia a I know someone who takes it for that disease...of course a LITTLE knowledge is not always good and I jumped to the conclusion that you had it too.. after i sent my message i went to research a little and found that like many drugs it had more than one use. BUT I did fid out also that it is extremely dangerous to the liver and especially those with active liver disease , and must be carefully dosed and monitored with weekly blood tests did I miss something here.? it wouldn`t seem one would prescribe it for immuno suppression to those with AIH. Where is my thinking cloudy (other than normally) . i`m no doctor so I`m probably wrong. What do you know that I obviously don`t? Love and serenity Jerry It's me, in So.Cal. who takes Purinethol just for AIH (instead of Imuran like most of the AIH-ers.) Right now I'm just obsessed with getting my kidney stone broken up into mush and comming out easily without needing any tubes .
Guest guest
Has anyone heard from Gerry lately? When I send him a message directly, I'm told his mailbox is full. I hope he's just having too much fun to tend to e-mail. Gerry is a great asset to all of us. Harper
Guest guest
Gerry - I would like to ask you a question if you don't mind but would you please tell me what I have ever done to you that you ignore my messages or comments, if I have offended you in any way I am truly sorry. There are many times I would like to ask you a few questions regarding liver failure and it's symptons or how you know when you have acesties (spelled wrong) but I just feel I won't get a response. I don't understand what I have done to you Gerry. I am sorry, H.
Guest guest
... you have done nothing... I'm sorry I didn't realize was ignoring you...just because I'm getting older doesn't necessarily mean I'm getting smarter ...please forgive me if I've slighted you.... Ascites can be determined by the doc thumping your belly and by ultrasound...if you get it bad enough you'll know you got it.... again ....please forgive me ... i know you're a sweetheart and I'm just unthoughtful curmudgen...write to me any time but remember I'don't know near as much as I think I do.....and I have been wrong a few times (very few though... lol) <<<HUGS!>>>> Love jerry
Guest guest
Gerry - I don't know how to begin this but I need advice and I know that you have researched a lot of material. I have been sick for the last two weeks, it started out as asthmatic bronchitis, I was on Tequin for a week then because I haven't gotten any better I went back to the doctor he told me looked horrible, nice guy huh? He had me go for a chest x-ray, that showed something in my right lung but he said not to worry that it has been there in all my other x-ray's probably scare tissue, but did put me on Levaquin 500mg. a day, plus I am on Urso, Xanax, singular, paxil, weaning off 40mgs. prednisone and have been doing the albuterol breathing treatments four times a day. But nothing seems to be getting better Gerry the cough is very deep in my chest, the treatments make me shake constantly can't touch anything or I drop it. Do you have any ideas on what the liver diseases do to your pulmonary or respiratory parts. I am really getting a wee bit scared I have never had a cold or bronchitis that didn't improve with antibiotics. It's very hard to sleep because of the coughing. I have even tried good old vicks, that helped with the breathing through the nose part but not the chest. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and God Bless. H.
