Guest guest
Kam, Oh, I feel for you. You are still in recovery mode. I'm guessing you'll be able to wear a "sensible" heel, 2-21/2 inches, much later on, for a very special occasion. I hope you get over this quickly. Please let us know. Bonnie [ ] Re: choices and consequences Kam,I am sorry you are laid up today. I hope you rebound quickly, and when you do....get your grabber and take every shoe that you have that has anything less than a flat footbed and drop them in the trash so you are not tempted again! I know you love shoes and challenges, so make it your personal challenge to find stylish shoes that DO NOT HAVE HEELS!!!!We have stood by as she put the cigs out of her life, and we can help you too! I am here personally to help you stand up and say, "Hi, my name is Kam, and I am a shoe-a-holic". If you feel the need to put any shoe on your foot that is not a flat, you can call me any day or night, and I promise to talk you out of it. You CAN beat this thing.....Hugs, Cam
Guest guest
Kam, <<<And I'm wondering...if a shoe-a-holic goes out on a mission to find great shoes that aren't heels, is that progress or disguising the illness?>>> Definitly progress! Accomodating your situation is not the same as disguising it. Especially now that flats are "in". Bonnie [ ] Re: choices and consequences Cam - You made me laugh and cry (really, I'm just sort of leaking)! Thank you for that. - I think you are more cautious than me as a general rule. I hope to attain a small portion of your current wisdom before my time on earth is done!JC/Nan - Thanks for letting me know I'm not the only one. Nan, at present (I'm afraid Cam is on target with the shoe-a-holic diagnosis), it feels like a medium price rather than a small price. And I'm wondering...if a shoe-a-holic goes out on a mission to find great shoes that aren't heels, is that progress or disguising the illness? Hmmmm. You gals are the best. Thanks for shining a little light on this bummer of a day...kam
